“ God does not really live on the earth! Look, if the sky and the highest heaven cannot contain you, how much less this temple I have built!

“上帝果真住在地上吗？看哪，天和天上的天尚且不足容纳你，何况我所建的这殿呢？

“神果真住在地上吗？看哪，天和天上的天尚且不足容纳你，何况我所建的这殿呢？

“然而，上帝啊，你真的会住在人间吗？看啊，诸天尚且不够你居住，更何况我建造的这殿呢？

“神真的住在地上吗？看哪！天和天上的天尚且不能容纳你，何况我建造的这殿呢？

「神果真住在地上嗎？看哪，天和天上的天尚且不足你居住的，何況我所建的這殿呢？

「上帝果真住在地上嗎？看哪，天和天上的天尚且不足容納你，何況我所建的這殿呢？

「神果真住在地上嗎？看哪，天和天上的天尚且不足容納你，何況我所建的這殿呢？

「然而，上帝啊，你真的會住在人間嗎？看啊，諸天尚且不夠你居住，更何況我建造的這殿呢？

“神真的住在地上嗎？看哪！天和天上的天尚且不能容納你，何況我建造的這殿呢？

『然而上帝果真住在地上麼？看哪，天和天上之天尚且容不下你，何況我所建的這殿呢？

然上帝豈果居於地乎、天與天上之天、不足容爾、況我所建之室乎、

然上帝豈居於地乎。穹蒼不足以居爾、天上明宮亦不足以居爾、況我所建之殿乎。

然天主豈真居於地乎、天與天上之天、尚不足為主之居所、況我所建此殿乎、

“ But will God really dwell on earth? The heavens, even the highest heaven, cannot contain you. How much less this temple I have built!

“ But will you really live on earth? After all, the heavens can’t hold you. In fact, even the highest heavens can’t hold you. So this temple I’ve built certainly can’t hold you!

“ But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you; how much less this house that I have built!

“ But will God really live on earth? Why, even the highest heavens cannot contain you. How much less this Temple I have built!

But will God indeed live on earth? Even heaven, the highest heaven, cannot contain you, much less this temple I have built.

“ But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain You, how much less this house which I have built!

“ But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this temple which I have built!

But will God in very deed dwell on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded!

But will God indeed live on earth? Even heaven, the highest heaven, cannot contain You, much less this temple I have built.

But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?

But will God in very deed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens can’t contain you; how much less this house that I have built!

Of course, who can really build a temple for him, since the sky and the highest heavens cannot contain him? Who am I that I should build him a temple! It will really be only a place to offer sacrifices before him.

“ Do you really think anyone can hide himself where I cannot see him?” the LORD asks.“ Do you not know that I am everywhere?” the LORD asks.

This is what the LORD says:“ The heavens are my throne and the earth is my footstool. Where then is the house you will build for me? Where is the place where I will rest?

Yet the Most High does not live in houses made by human hands, as the prophet says,‘ Heaven is my throne, and earth is the footstool for my feet. What kind of house will you build for me, says the Lord, or what is my resting place?

Where can I go to escape your spirit? Where can I flee to escape your presence?If I were to ascend to heaven, you would be there. If I were to sprawl out in Sheol, there you would be.If I were to fly away on the wings of the dawn, and settle down on the other side of the sea,even there your hand would guide me, your right hand would grab hold of me.If I were to say,“ Certainly the darkness will cover me, and the light will turn to night all around me,”even the darkness is not too dark for you to see, and the night is as bright as day; darkness and light are the same to you.Certainly you made my mind and heart; you wove me together in my mother’s womb.I will give you thanks because your deeds are awesome and amazing. You knew me thoroughly;my bones were not hidden from you, when I was made in secret and sewed together in the depths of the earth.Your eyes saw me when I was inside the womb. All the days ordained for me were recorded in your scroll before one of them came into existence.

The LORD is exalted over all the nations; his splendor reaches beyond the sky.

Now the Word became flesh and took up residence among us. We saw his glory– the glory of the one and only, full of grace and truth, who came from the Father.

The God who made the world and everything in it, who is Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by human hands,

The heavens– indeed the highest heavens– belong to the LORD your God, as does the earth and everything in it.

“ God does not really live with humankind on the earth! Look, if the sky and the highest heaven cannot contain you, how much less this temple I have built!

I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago( whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows) was caught up to the third heaven.

And what mutual agreement does the temple of God have with idols? For we are the temple of the living God, just as God said,“ I will live in them and will walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.”
