獻晚祭時、我起、憂心悄悄、衣袍撕裂、曲膝而跪、向主我之天主舉手祈禱、曰、

摩西離法老出城、向主舉手祈禱、雷雹即止、雨不再降於地、

爾舉手禱告、我掩目不顧、爾雖多祈禱、我不俯聽、因爾殺無辜、手滿血跡、

摩西對曰、我一出邑、向耶和華舉手祈禱、雷必止、雹不復降、致爾知普天下乃屬耶和華、

所羅門當以色列會眾前、立於主之祭臺前舉手、所羅門曾造一銅臺、長五尺、寛五尺、高三尺、置於院中、所羅門立其上、當以色列會眾前跪焉、向天舉手、曰、主以色列之天主歟、在天在地、無神能比主、主之僕盡心行於主前、主為之踐約、向之施恩、主向主之僕我父大衛所許之言、今已應矣、主以口應許、以手成全、有如今日、主以色列之天主歟、曾許主之僕我父大衛曰、爾之子孫、若能謹慎己道、遵行我之律法、如爾行於我前、則爾之後嗣、必於我前坐以色列國位、永遠不絕、今求主踐其言、求主以色列之天主、所許主之僕大衛之言、俾有效驗、然天主豈真與世人同居於地乎、天與天上之天、尚不足為主之居所、況我所建之殿乎、惟求主我之天主、垂念僕之所祈所禱、俯聽僕在主前呼籲祈禱之言、主曾許主之名必在此殿、今求主晝夜垂顧之、僕於此殿殿原文作處祈禱、望主俯聽、凡主之僕與主之民以色列祈禱於此殿、求主自天、自主之居所、垂聽赦免、人若獲罪於人、有人使其在此殿主之祭臺前發誓、求主自天垂聽、在主之僕間、判其是非、以惡者為惡、循其惡以罰之、以義者為義、循其義以賞之、如主之民以色列、因獲罪於主、為敵所敗、厥後歸於主、認主之名、在此殿祈禱呼籲主、求主自天垂聽、赦主之民以色列之罪、使之得歸主賜其列祖之地、如民獲罪於主、致天閉塞不雨、而在此處祈禱、主罰之之後、遂認主之名、悔改罪惡、求主在天垂聽、赦免主之僕、即主之民以色列之罪、以當行之善道示之、使雨降於主之地、即主所賜主之民為業之地、如於斯地有饑饉疫癘、或稼穡萎弱枯稿、或有蝗蝻蚱蜢之災、或敵人犯境、圍困城池、無論何災、無論何害、害原文作病主之民以色列、無論何人、自覺己心之憂痛愁苦、向此殿舉手、無論何祈何禱、求主自天、自主之居所、垂聽赦免、循人之所為、視人之心術、施報於人、因世人之心、惟主知之、使其畢生敬畏主、遵行主道、在主賜我列祖之地、如有外邦之人、不屬主之民以色列者、為主之大名、大能、大力、自遠方來、來祈禱在此殿、求主自天、自主之居所垂聽、循外邦人所祈者而行、使地上萬民、皆知主之名敬畏主、與主之民以色列人無異、又知我所建之殿、稱為主之殿、或作又知我建斯殿乃為主之名而建者如主之民奉主所遣、無論何往與敵戰時、向主所選之邑、及我為主名所建之殿、祈禱於主、求主自天、俯聽其祈求禱告、為之伸冤、世間未有不犯罪者、如主之民獲罪於主、主向之震怒、付於敵人、為敵擄至異邦、或遠或近、如在被擄之地、問心悔罪、在擄至之地、哀懇於主曰、我儕犯罪、我儕違逆、我儕作惡、如在敵人擄之之地、盡心盡意歸向主、向其故土、即主所賜其列祖之地、與主所選之邑、及我為主名所建之殿、祈禱於主、求主自天、自主之居所、俯聽其祈求禱告、為之伸冤、赦主之民在主前所犯之罪、今求我天主、凡於此處所祈禱者、目其垂顧、耳其俯聽、求主天主興起、與主榮耀之匱、入主安居之所、願主天主之祭司衣被救恩、使主之虔誠人蒙福而喜、主天主所立之受膏者、求主莫卻其祈、垂念主向主之僕大衛所許之恩、

王立於臺上、在主前立約、必盡心盡意順從主、守主之誡命、法度、律例、以成此書所載之約言、民眾樂從此約、

我在世之時、常稱頌主、敬奉主名、舉手祈禱、

爾若定心、定心或作洗心向天主舉手、

見王循常例立於臺、群臣與吹角者待於王之左右、國民欣然吹角、亞他利雅乃自裂其衣、呼曰、叛矣、叛矣、

我欲人無怒無爭、隨在舉聖潔之手而祈禱、

我呼籲主、向主之聖殿舉手、求主垂聽我懇求之聲、
