But Yahweh said to David my father,‘ Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was in your heart.

耶和华却对我父大卫说：‘你立意为我的名建殿，这意思甚好。

耶和华却对我父大卫说：‘你有心为我的名建殿，这心意是好的；

耶和华却对我父大卫说：‘你有心为我的名建殿，这心意是好的；

但是耶和华对我父大卫说，‘你想为我建殿，这番心意是好的，

但耶和华对我父大卫说：‘你心里有意为我的名建一座殿，你这心意是好的。

耶和華卻對我父大衛說：『你立意為我的名建殿，這意思甚好。

但是耶和華對我父大衛說，『你想為我建殿，這番心意是好的，

但耶和華對我父大衛說：‘你心裡有意為我的名建一座殿，你這心意是好的。

但永恆主卻對我父親大衛說：「你心裏有意思要為我的名建殿，你心裏這意思固然很好。

惟耶和華諭之曰、爾欲為我名建室、此意誠善、

耶和華諭之曰、爾意欲建殿、為籲我名之所、此舉甚善。

主諭我父大衛曰、爾意欲為我名建殿、爾之意甚善、

But the Lord said to my father David,‘ You did well to have it in your heart to build a temple for my Name.

But the Lord spoke to my father David. He said,‘ With all your heart you wanted to build a temple for my Name. It is good that you wanted to do that.

But the Lord said to David my father,‘ Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was in your heart.

But the Lord told him,‘ You wanted to build the Temple to honor my name. Your intention is good,

But the LORD said to my father David,“ Since your heart was set on building a temple for my name, you have done well to have this desire.

But the Lord said to my father David,‘ Because it was in your heart to build a house for My name, you did well that it was in your heart.

But the Lord said to my father David,‘ Whereas it was in your heart to build a temple for My name, you did well that it was in your heart.

But Jehovah said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thy heart to build a house for my name, thou didst well that it was in thy heart:

But the Lord said to my father David,“ Since it was your desire to build a temple for My name, you have done well to have this desire.

And the LORD said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to build an house unto my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart.

The LORD told my father David,‘ It is right for you to have a strong desire to build a temple to honor me.

Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel.But Yahweh said to David my father,‘ Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was in your heart;nevertheless you shall not build the house; but your son who will come out of your body, he shall build the house for my name.’

For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what you have, not according to what you don’t have.
