Then King Solomon summoned into his presence at Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes and the chiefs of the Israelite families, to bring up the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Zion, the City of David.

Then King Solomon sent for the elders of Israel. He told them to come to him in Jerusalem. They included all the leaders of the tribes. They also included the chiefs of the families of Israel. Solomon wanted them to bring up the ark of the Lord’ s covenant from Zion. Zion was the City of David.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ houses of the people of Israel, before King Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, with all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel, to king Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Yahweh’s covenant out of David’s city, which is Zion.

有人告訴大衛王說：「耶和華因約櫃的緣故賜福給俄別‧以東的家和一切屬他的。」大衛就去，歡歡喜喜地將上帝的約櫃從俄別‧以東家中接上來，到大衛城裏。抬耶和華約櫃的人走了六步，大衛就獻牛與肥畜為祭。大衛穿着細麻布以弗得，在耶和華面前極力跳舞。這樣，大衛和以色列全家歡呼吹角，將耶和華的約櫃接了上來。耶和華的約櫃進大衛城的時候，掃羅的女兒米甲從窗戶裏往外觀看，見大衛王在耶和華面前踴躍跳舞，心裏就輕視他。眾人將耶和華的約櫃請進去，安放在所預備的地方，就是大衛為它搭的帳幕中。大衛在耶和華面前獻燔祭和平安祭。

所羅門醒了，看哪，是個夢。他就來到耶路撒冷，站在耶和華的約櫃前，獻燔祭和平安祭，又為眾臣僕擺設宴席。

希西家派人去見以色列和猶大眾人，又寫信給以法蓮和瑪拿西人，要他們到耶路撒冷耶和華的殿，向耶和華－以色列的上帝守逾越節，

所以，主耶和華如此說：「看哪，我在錫安放一塊石頭作為根基，是衡量的石頭，是寶貴的房角石，穩固的根基；信靠他的人必不致驚恐。

我使我的公義臨近，它已不遠。我的救恩必不遲延。我要為以色列－我的榮耀在錫安施行救恩。

大衛住在堡壘裏，所以那堡壘叫作大衛城。

就召了全以色列的眾長老、領袖、審判官和官長來，對他們說：「我年紀已經老邁。

大衛召集以色列眾人到耶路撒冷，要將耶和華的約櫃接到他所預備的地方。

使人在錫安傳揚耶和華的名，在耶路撒冷傳揚讚美他的話，

約書亞召集以色列的眾支派到示劍，他召了以色列的長老、領袖、審判官和官長來；他們都站在上帝面前。

到了七月，以色列人住在自己的城裏；那時他們如同一人，聚集在耶路撒冷。

應當歌頌居於錫安的耶和華，將他所做的傳揚在萬民中。

然而大衛攻取了錫安的堡壘，就是大衛的城。當日，大衛說：「誰攻打耶布斯人，就要從水道上去，攻打我心裏所恨惡的瘸子、盲人。」因此有人說：「盲人和瘸子不得進殿裏去。」大衛住在堡壘裏，給它起名叫大衛城。大衛又從米羅往內，周圍建築。

大衛與千夫長、百夫長，以及所有的領袖商議。大衛對以色列全會眾說：「你們若以為好，見這事是出於耶和華－我們的上帝，我們就派人到遠近各處去見仍留在以色列各地我們的弟兄，以及住在有郊野之城的祭司和利未人，使他們都到我們這裏來聚集。我們要把上帝的約櫃接到這裏來；因為在掃羅年間，我們沒有去尋求約櫃。」全會眾都說可以這麼做，因這事在眾百姓眼中都看為好。於是，大衛把以色列眾人從埃及的西曷河直到哈馬口都召集了來，要從基列‧耶琳將上帝的約櫃接來。

以色列的領袖，各父家的家長，都前來奉獻。他們是各支派的領袖，管理那些被數的人。他們把自己的供物送到耶和華面前，就是六輛篷車和十二頭公牛。每兩個領袖奉獻一輛車，每個領袖奉獻一頭牛。他們把這些都帶到帳幕前。

大衛又聚集以色列中所有挑選的人，共三萬名。大衛起身，和跟隨他的眾百姓前往，要從巴拉‧猶大那裏將上帝的約櫃接上來；這約櫃是以坐在二基路伯上萬軍之耶和華的名所命名的。

耶和華的約櫃進大衛城的時候，掃羅的女兒米甲從窗戶裏往外觀看，見大衛王踴躍跳舞，心裏就輕視他。眾人將上帝的約櫃請進去，安放在大衛為它搭的帳幕中，就在上帝面前獻燔祭和平安祭。

因為經上說：「看哪，我把一塊石頭放在錫安－一塊蒙揀選、珍貴的房角石；信靠他的人必不蒙羞。」

大衛召集以色列所有的領袖，各支派的領袖、輪班服事王的官長、千夫長、百夫長、掌管王和王子一切產業牲畜的、宮廷官員、勇士，和所有大能的勇士，都到耶路撒冷來。

到了拿艮的禾場，因為牛失前蹄，烏撒就伸手扶住上帝的約櫃。
