Then King Solomon summoned into his presence at Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes and the chiefs of the Israelite families, to bring up the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Zion, the City of David.

Then King Solomon sent for the elders of Israel. He told them to come to him in Jerusalem. They included all the leaders of the tribes. They also included the chiefs of the families of Israel. Solomon wanted them to bring up the ark of the Lord’ s covenant from Zion. Zion was the City of David.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ houses of the people of Israel, before King Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.

Solomon then summoned to Jerusalem the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes— the leaders of the ancestral families of the Israelites. They were to bring the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant to the Temple from its location in the City of David, also known as Zion.

At that time Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, all the tribal heads and the ancestral leaders of the Israelites before him at Jerusalem in order to bring the ark of the LORD’s covenant from the city of David, that is Zion.

Then Solomon convened in Jerusalem Israel’s elders, all the leaders of the Israelite tribes and families, so they could witness the transferal of the ark of the LORD’s covenant from the city of David( that is, Zion).

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, with all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel, to king Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Yahweh’s covenant out of David’s city, which is Zion.

有人告訴大衛王說：「因神約櫃的緣故，耶和華祝福了俄別·以東的家和一切屬於他的。」大衛就去，歡歡喜喜把神的約櫃從俄別·以東家裡帶上來，帶到大衛城。當抬耶和華約櫃的人前進六步，大衛就獻上一頭公牛和一隻肥畜。大衛束著細麻布的以弗得，在耶和華面前極力跳舞。這樣，在歡呼和號角聲中，大衛和以色列全家把耶和華的約櫃帶上來了。當耶和華的約櫃進入大衛城時，掃羅的女兒米甲透過窗戶俯看，看見大衛王在耶和華面前踴躍跳舞，心裡就藐視他。他們把耶和華的約櫃抬來，安放在預備好的地方，在大衛為它支搭的帳篷內，然後大衛在耶和華面前獻上燔祭和平安祭。

所以，主耶和華如此說：「看哪！我在錫安放一塊作根基的石頭，是試驗過的石頭，是寶貴的房角石，穩固的根基——信靠的人必不驚慌。

我使我的公義臨近，它已經不遠了；我的救恩必不遲延。我要把救恩賜給錫安，把我的榮耀賜給以色列。」

好在錫安傳揚耶和華的名，在耶路撒冷傳揚對他的讚美。

你們當歌頌在錫安坐著為王的耶和華，當在萬民中宣告他的作為；

然而大衛攻取了錫安的堡壘，就是後來的大衛城。那天大衛說：「誰攻打耶布斯人，就要從水道上去，攻打大衛心中厭惡的那些瘸子、瞎子。」從此就有俗語說：「瞎眼的和瘸腿的不得進入殿內。」大衛住在這堡壘裡，稱它為「大衛城」。大衛從梯壘向內，把周圍都建造起來。

大衛再次招聚以色列中所有的精兵，共三萬人。大衛與所有隨同他的人起身前往猶大的巴阿勒，要把神的約櫃從那裡帶上來；這約櫃是以坐在基路伯之上萬軍之耶和華的名而命名的。

因為經上記著：「看哪，我在錫安放一塊蒙揀選的、珍貴的房角石，信靠他的人絕不至於蒙羞。」

當他們來到拿墾禾場時，牛絆了一下，烏撒就伸手扶住神的約櫃。
