Then King Solomon summoned into his presence at Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes and the chiefs of the Israelite families, to bring up the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Zion, the City of David.

Then King Solomon sent for the elders of Israel. He told them to come to him in Jerusalem. They included all the leaders of the tribes. They also included the chiefs of the families of Israel. Solomon wanted them to bring up the ark of the Lord’ s covenant from Zion. Zion was the City of David.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ houses of the people of Israel, before King Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.

Solomon then summoned to Jerusalem the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes— the leaders of the ancestral families of the Israelites. They were to bring the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant to the Temple from its location in the City of David, also known as Zion.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, with all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel, to king Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Yahweh’s covenant out of David’s city, which is Zion.

那时，所罗门把以色列的长老、各支派的首领和以色列人各家族的首领，都召集到耶路撒冷，要把耶和华的约柜从大卫城，就是锡安运上来。于是，以色列众人在七月的节期来到时，都聚集到王那里。以色列的众长老来到了，利未人就抬起约柜。他们把约柜、会幕和会幕里的一切神圣器皿都抬上来；是祭司和利未人把它们抬上来的。所罗门王和那些聚集到他那里的以色列全体会众，都在约柜前献上牛羊为祭，数量无法计算，不能数点。众祭司把耶和华的约柜抬进放约柜的地方，就是内殿，至圣所里面，放在两个基路伯的翅膀底下。基路伯在约柜上面张开翅膀，遮盖着约柜和抬约柜的杠。那两根杠很长，在内殿前可以看见约柜那里的杠头，在殿外却看不见；直到今日，那两根杠还在那里。约柜里只有两块石版，就是以色列人出埃及以后，耶和华和他们立约的时候，摩西在何烈山放进去的。

于是大卫和以色列的众长老，以及千夫长一起前去，从俄别．以东的家欢欢喜喜地把耶和华的约柜抬上来。

有人告诉大卫王：“耶和华因为神的约柜的缘故，赐福给俄别‧以东的家和一切属他的。”大卫就去，欢欢喜喜把神的约柜从俄别‧以东的家中抬上大卫的城里去。那些抬耶和华的约柜的人走了六步，大卫就献一头公牛和一只肥畜为祭。大卫束着细麻布的以弗得，在耶和华面前极力跳舞。这样，大卫和以色列全家，以欢呼和角声，把耶和华的约柜抬了上来。耶和华的约柜运进大卫城的时候，扫罗的女儿米甲从窗户往外观看，看见大卫王在耶和华面前跳跃舞蹈，心里就鄙视他。他们把耶和华的约柜抬进去，安放在帐棚里它自己的地方，就是安放在大卫给它支搭的帐棚里，大卫就在耶和华面前献上燔祭和平安祭。

所罗门醒来，原来是一个梦。于是他回到耶路撒冷，站在耶和华的约柜前，献上燔祭，又献上平安祭，也为他的众臣仆摆设筵席。

希西家派人走遍以色列和犹大，又写信给以法莲人和玛拿西人，叫他们到耶路撒冷耶和华的殿来，守逾越节记念耶和华以色列的神。

所以主耶和华这样说：“看哪！我在锡安放置一块石头，是试验过的石头，是稳固的基石，宝贵的房角石；信靠的人，必不着急。

我使我的公义临近了，必不远离；我的救恩必不迟延。我要为以色列，我的荣耀，在锡安施行拯救。”

大卫住在堡垒中，因此人把那堡垒称为大卫城。

约书亚就把全体以色列人、他们的长老、首领、审判官和官长，都召了来，对他们说：“我已经老了，年纪不小了。

于是，大卫把以色列人都招聚到耶路撒冷，要把耶和华的约柜抬上来，到大卫给它预备好的地方去。

使人在锡安传扬耶和华的名，在耶路撒冷传扬赞美他的话。

约书亚在示剑召集以色列各支派，又把以色列的长老、首领、审判官和官长都召了来，他们就站在神面前。

到了七月，各城里的以色列人，如同一人，都在耶路撒冷聚集。

你们要歌颂住在锡安的耶和华，要在万民中传扬他的作为。

大卫却攻取了锡安的保障，就是大卫的城。那一天大卫说：“攻打耶布斯人的，要把大卫心中恨恶的‘瞎子’和‘瘸子’丢进水沟里。”因此有句俗语说：“瞎眼的或瘸腿的，都不能进殿里。”后来大卫住在保障里，称保障为“大卫的城”。大卫又从米罗向里面周围筑墙。

大卫与千夫长、百夫长和所有的领袖商议。然后大卫对以色列全体会众说：“你们如果认为好，认为这事是出于耶和华我们的神，我们就差遣人走遍各地，去见留在以色列各地的兄弟，以及和他们在一起住在那些有草场的城的祭司和利未人，叫他们都聚集到我们这里来。我们可以把我们神的约柜运到我们这里来，因为在扫罗的日子，我们都没有在约柜前求问神。”全体会众都同意这样行，因为这事众人都认为对。于是大卫把以色列众人，从埃及的西曷河直到哈马口，都招聚来，要把神的约柜从基列．耶琳运来。

以色列的众领袖，就是他们父家的首领，都来奉献；就是众支派的领袖，是管理那些被数点的人的。他们把自己的供物带到耶和华的面前，就是六辆篷车和十二头公牛，每两个领袖奉献一辆篷车，每个领袖奉献一头公牛；他们把这些都送到帐幕的面前。

大卫又聚集以色列中所有拣选出来的三万人。大卫和与他在一起的众人起程前去，要从巴拉‧犹大把神的约柜运来，这约柜的名称是以坐在二基路伯之上万军之耶和华的名字而起的。

耶和华的约柜进了大卫城的时候，扫罗的女儿米甲从窗户往下观看，看见大卫王跳跃嬉笑，心里就鄙视他。他们把神的约柜抬了进去，安放在大卫为它所搭的会幕中间，然后在神面前献上了燔祭和平安祭。

因为经上记着：“看哪，我在锡安放了一块石头，就是所拣选所珍贵的房角石，信靠他的人，必不致失望。”

大卫把以色列的众领袖：各支派的领袖、轮班服事王的领袖、千夫长、百夫长、掌管王和王子们一切财产与牲畜的领袖，以及太监、显贵和所有英勇的战士，都召集到耶路撒冷来。

他们到了拿艮的打禾场的时候，因为牛几乎绊倒，乌撒就伸手扶住神的约柜。
