Then King Solomon summoned into his presence at Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes and the chiefs of the Israelite families, to bring up the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Zion, the City of David.

Then King Solomon sent for the elders of Israel. He told them to come to him in Jerusalem. They included all the leaders of the tribes. They also included the chiefs of the families of Israel. Solomon wanted them to bring up the ark of the Lord’ s covenant from Zion. Zion was the City of David.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ houses of the people of Israel, before King Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, with all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel, to king Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Yahweh’s covenant out of David’s city, which is Zion.

大卫听说耶和华因为约柜而赐福给俄别·以东全家及其一切所有，就满心欢喜地去把上帝的约柜从俄别·以东家接进大卫城。这一次，抬耶和华约柜的人走了六步，大卫就献上公牛和肥犊为祭。大卫穿着细麻布的以弗得在耶和华面前尽情跳舞。大卫和全体以色列人在欢呼声和号角声中把耶和华的约柜迎进大卫城。耶和华的约柜进大卫城的时候，扫罗的女儿米甲从窗户看见大卫在耶和华面前又跳又舞，心里就轻视他。他们把耶和华的约柜抬来，安放在大卫准备好的帐篷里。大卫在耶和华面前献上燔祭和平安祭，

所罗门醒来，发现是在做梦。他回到耶路撒冷，站在耶和华的约柜前献上燔祭和平安祭，又宴请群臣。

希西迦派人通告以色列和犹大全境，又写信通知以法莲人和玛拿西人，叫他们到耶路撒冷耶和华的殿，向以色列的上帝耶和华守逾越节。

所以主耶和华说：“看啊，我要在锡安放一块基石，一块经过考验的石头，一块根基稳固的宝贵房角石，信靠的人必不致蒙羞。

我要亲自施行公义，那一天已经不远，我的救恩很快就会来临。我要在锡安赐下救恩，把我的荣耀赐给以色列。

大卫占据了堡垒，因此那堡垒就叫大卫城。

他召来了以色列的长老、族长、审判官和官长，对他们说：“我已经老了，

大卫召集以色列人到耶路撒冷，要把耶和华的约柜抬到他所预备的地方。

这样，万族万国聚集、敬拜耶和华时，人们必在锡安传扬祂的名，在耶路撒冷赞美祂。

约书亚在示剑招聚以色列各支派，然后召来以色列的长老、族长、审判官和官长。他们一同站在上帝面前。

到了七月，以色列人已安居各城，他们万众一心地聚集在耶路撒冷。

要歌颂住在锡安的耶和华，在列邦传扬祂的作为。

结果大卫的军队攻取了锡安的堡垒，即后来的大卫城。那天，大卫下令军队从地下水道爬进城去，攻打那些“瞎子、瘸子”，他憎恶这些耶布斯人。后来便有一句俗语：“瞎子、瘸子不得进殿！”大卫住在锡安的堡垒里，并称之为大卫城，他又从米罗兴建环城围墙。

大卫跟千夫长、百夫长等所有的首领商议，然后对以色列全体会众说：“如果你们赞成，而且这是我们上帝耶和华的旨意，我们就派人到以色列各地把其他同胞，包括住在城邑及草场的祭司和利未人召集来。我们要将我们上帝的约柜运到这里来，因为在扫罗执政期间，我们忽视了它。”会众都表示赞同，认为这样做很好。于是，大卫召集了从埃及的西曷河一直到哈马口的全体以色列人，要将上帝的约柜从基列·耶琳运来。

然后，以色列各支派的首领，就是负责人口统计的各族长，都来奉献。他们把供物带到圣幕前献给耶和华：每两位首领奉献一辆篷车，每位首领奉献一头公牛，共六辆篷车和十二头公牛。

大卫召集了三万名以色列精兵，率领他们到犹大的巴拉去接上帝的约柜。这约柜以坐在基路伯天使上面的万军之耶和华的名字命名。

耶和华的约柜进大卫城的时候，扫罗的女儿米甲从窗户往外看，看见大卫王在兴高采烈地跳舞，心里就轻视他。众人将上帝的约柜抬进去，安放在大卫所搭的帐篷里，然后在上帝面前献上燔祭和平安祭。

因为圣经上说：“看啊，我在锡安放了一块蒙拣选的宝贵房角石，信靠祂的人必不会蒙羞。”

大卫召以色列的众首领到耶路撒冷。于是，各支派的首领、各班将领、千夫长、百夫长、负责王和王子的财产及牲畜的官员、宫廷侍臣、显贵和勇士都来了，

他们走到拿肯的麦场时，拉车的牛失蹄，乌撒便伸手去扶上帝的约柜。
