長老中有一位對我說：『別哭了！你看，猶大支派的獅子、大衛的根、已經得勝，可以展開那書卷、而揭開其七印了。』

櫃上面有上帝「榮現」之象徵、基路伯、覆蔭着除罪蓋的座。關於這幾件、如今不能一一分開細說。

至於牠們的臉面的形相：四個右面各有人的臉面，各有獅子的臉面；四個左面各有牛的臉面，各有鷹的臉面。

要用金子作兩個基路伯，用錘的法子來作，在除罪蓋的兩頭。

每一個基路伯各有四個臉面：第一是牛的臉面，第二是人的臉面；第三是獅子的臉面；第四是鷹的臉面。

因為是我、我對以法蓮要像猛獅，我對猶大家要如少壯獅子。我，我，我必撕裂而去，我必奪去、而無人搭救。

寶座前好像玻璃海，彷彿水晶一般。寶座四圍、在寶座每一面當中、有一隻活物，四面共四隻，前後滿有眼睛。第一隻活物彷彿獅子，第二隻活物彷彿牛犢，第三隻活物有臉面像人的臉面，第四隻活物彷彿飛着的鷹。

雕製成了基路伯和棕樹；一個基路伯與一個基路伯之間就有一棵棕樹；每個基路伯都有兩副臉面；這邊有人的臉面向着棕樹，那邊有少壯獅子的臉面向着棕樹；殿裏四處都是這樣雕製的。

他將兩個基路伯安在殿的儘內部；使基路伯的翅膀張開着：這一個基路伯的一個翅膀挨着這邊的牆；那一個基路伯的一個翅膀挨着那邊的牆；裏邊的兩個翅膀在殿中間彼此相挨着。

於是把那人趕逐出去，又在伊甸園東邊安設基路伯拿着發火燄的旋轉劍，來把守生命樹的路。
