And on the borders that[ were] between the ledges[ were] lions, oxen, and cherubims: and upon the ledges[ there was] a base above: and beneath the lions and oxen[ were] certain additions made of thin work.

On the sides between the posts were lions, bulls and cherubim. They were also on all of the posts. Above and below the lions and bulls were wreaths made out of hammered metal.

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

And before the throne[ there was] a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne,[ were] four beasts full of eyes before and behind.And the first beast[ was] like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast[ was] like a flying eagle.

And[ it was] made with cherubims and palm trees, so that a palm tree[ was] between a cherub and a cherub; and[ every] cherub had two faces;So that the face of a man[ was] toward the palm tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree on the other side:[ it was] made through all the house round about.

And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the[ one] wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.

So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
