長老中有一位對我說：“不要哭！看哪，那從猶大支派出來的獅子，大衛的根，他已經得勝了，他能夠展開那書卷，拆開它的七印。”

櫃的上面有榮耀的基路伯罩著施恩座，關於這一切，現在不能一一細說了。

至於牠們臉孔的形狀，四個活物都各有一個人的臉孔，在右邊各有一個獅子的臉孔，在左邊各有一個牛的臉孔，此外各有一個鷹的臉孔；

你要用黃金錘成兩個基路伯，放在施恩座的兩端。

每一個基路伯各有四個臉孔：第一是基路伯的臉孔，第二是人的臉孔，第三是獅子的臉孔，第四是鷹的臉孔。

又用黃金做了兩個基路伯，是從施恩座的兩端用鎚錘成的；

也就像活石，被建造成為靈宮，作聖潔的祭司，藉著耶穌基督獻上蒙神悅納的靈祭。

銅海安放在十二頭銅牛背上，三頭向北，三頭向西，三頭向南，三頭向東，銅海是在銅牛之上，牛尾都向內。

因為我對以法蓮要像隻猛獅，對猶大家必像頭少壯獅子。我要親自撕裂他們，然後離去；我把他們帶走，沒有人能搭救。

寶座前有一個看來好像水晶的玻璃海。在寶座中間和寶座周圍有四個活物，前後布滿了眼睛。第一個活物像獅子，第二個活物像牛犢，第三個活物的臉面像人，第四個活物像飛鷹。

都刻上基路伯和棕樹。基路伯和棕樹相間並排，每個基路伯都有兩個臉孔。這邊有人的臉向著棕樹，那邊有獅子的臉向著棕樹。全殿周圍的雕刻都是這樣。

他把兩個基路伯安放在內殿裡面，基路伯的翅膀是張開的；這一個基路伯的一個翅膀接到這邊的牆壁，另一個基路伯的一個翅膀接到另一邊的牆壁，他們另外的兩個翅膀在殿的中間彼此相接。

於是把亞當驅逐出去，又派基路伯在伊甸園的東邊，拿著旋轉發火燄的劍，把守到生命樹去的路。
