所羅門創建宮室、歷至十三年、始竣其工。

猶大長老、聽先知哈基、易多孫撒加利亞、感神之言、遂建殿宇、無不亨通、遵以色列族上帝、及巴西王古列、大利烏、亞達泄西之命、迨竣厥工。大利烏王六年、亞達月、三日、殿宇告成。

猶太人曰、建此殿、經四十六年、爾三日建之乎、

既建斯殿、尊榮丕著、坐於其位、秉厥鈞衡、若祭司在位、兼理二職、使人平康、此冠置於耶和華殿、緣希吝、多比、耶太亞、西番雅、子賢、以作記誌、遠方之人將至、建耶和華殿、俾爾知萬有之主耶和華遣我、如爾聽從爾上帝耶和華命則可、否則不可。

以色列族出埃及後、四百八十年、所羅門即位之四年、西弗月、即二月、所羅門始建耶和華之殿。
