昔我父大衛、因四方戰鬥、待耶和華服諸敵於其足下、不能為其上帝耶和華之名建室、爾所知也、

昔我父大闢、四方戰鬥、未蒙耶和華服諸敵於足下、故不得建殿、以籲其上帝耶和華之名、乃爾所知。

昔我父大衛、四方徵戰、不能為主其天主之名建殿、待主以諸敵服其足下乃可、此爾所知、

“ You know that because of the wars waged against my father David from all sides, he could not build a temple for the Name of the Lord his God until the Lord put his enemies under his feet.

“ As you know, my father David had to fight many battles. His enemies attacked him from every side. So he couldn’t build a temple where the Lord his God would put his Name. That wouldn’t be possible until the Lord had put his enemies under his control.

“ You know that David my father could not build a house for the name of the Lord his God because of the warfare with which his enemies surrounded him, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet.

“ You know that my father, David, was not able to build a Temple to honor the name of the Lord his God because of the many wars waged against him by surrounding nations. He could not build until the Lord gave him victory over all his enemies.

“ You know my father David was not able to build a temple for the name of the LORD his God. This was because of the warfare all around him until the LORD put his enemies under his feet.

“ You know that David my father was unable to build a house for the name of the Lord his God because of the wars which surrounded him, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet.

You know how my father David could not build a house for the name of the Lord his God because of the wars which were fought against him on every side, until the Lord put his foes under the soles of his feet.

Thou knowest how that David my father could not build a house for the name of Jehovah his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until Jehovah put them under the soles of his feet.

“ You know my father David was not able to build a temple for the name of Yahweh his God. This was because of the warfare all around him until the Lord put his enemies under his feet.

Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the LORD his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the LORD put them under the soles of his feet.

“ You know that my father David was unable to build a temple to honor the LORD his God, for he was busy fighting battles on all fronts while the LORD subdued his enemies.

“ You know that David my father could not build a house for the name of Yahweh his God because of the wars which were around him on every side, until Yahweh put his enemies under the soles of his feet.

只是上帝對我說：『你不可為我的名建殿，因為你是戰士，你流了人的血。』

看吧，你必生個兒子；他必是個安靜人；我必使他得享平靜、不被他四圍任何仇敵的騷擾；因為他的名字要叫所羅門；他在位的日子，我必將興隆太平賜給以色列人。

大衛心裏說：『我兒子所羅門年青嬌嫩；要為永恆主建造的殿宇必須宏壯巍峨，使聲譽榮華傳遍各地；因此我要為這事豫備。』於是大衛在未死之前、多多地豫備。大衛把他的兒子所羅門召了來，囑咐他給永恆主以色列的上帝建殿的事。大衛對所羅門說：『我兒啊，我心裏本有意思要為我的上帝永恆主耶和華的名建殿。

永恆主的神諭對我主我王說：『你坐在我右邊，等我處置你仇敵、做你腳的凳子。』

我只選擇了耶路撒冷，讓我的名長在那裏；又揀選了大衛來管理我人民以色列。」我父親大衛心裏原有意思要為永恆主以色列之上帝的名建殿。永恆主卻對我父親大衛說：「你心裏有意思要為我的名建殿，你心裏這意思固然好；

人把那五個王拉出來、到約書亞面前以後，約書亞就把以色列眾人召了來，對那些和他同去的戰士長官說：『你們走近前來，把腳踩在這些王的脖子上。』他們就走近前來，把腳踩在這些王的脖子上。

你派他管理你手所造的，使萬物都服於他腳下：

你們必踹着惡人，因為在我行動的日子、萬軍之永恆主說、他們必在你們腳掌之下成了爐灰。

上帝又使萬有順服在他腳下，並使他做教會的至上元首。

因為基督必須掌王權，等到他把一切仇敵都處置在自己的腳下。

『你去對我僕人大衛說：「永恆主這麼說：你要建殿給我居住麼？因為自從我領以色列人從埃及上來那一天、到今日，我都未曾住過殿；我乃是在帳棚帳幕裏往來的。我在以色列眾人中間往來、無論甚麼地方、我何曾向以色列士師中哪一位我所委任來牧養我人民以色列的，說：『你們為甚麼不給我建造香柏木的殿呢？』」現在你要對我僕人大衛這樣說：「萬軍之永恆主這麼說：我將你從羊圈中、從趕羊羣的事上選取了來，讓你做人君來管理我人民以色列。你無論往哪裏去，我總和你同在；我總從你面前剪滅你一切的仇敵；我必使你得享大名，像地上大人物的名一樣。我必為我人民以色列擇定一個地方，以栽培他們，使他們住自己的地方，不再被騷擾；橫暴之輩也不再像先前那樣苦害他們，像從我委任士師管理我人民以色列的日子以來一樣。我必使你得享安靜、免受你一切仇敵的侵擾；我必使你偉大；我必為你建立王室。
