For he ruled over all the kingdoms west of the Euphrates River, from Tiphsah to Gaza, and had peace on all sides.

Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms that were west of the Euphrates River. He ruled from Tiphsah all the way to Gaza. And he had peace and rest on every side.

“在至高之处，荣耀归于神！在地上，平安临到他所喜悦的人！”

原来这麦基洗德——撒冷之王，至高神的祭司，在亚伯拉罕杀败众王回来的时候，去迎接他、祝福他，亚伯拉罕就从所得来的一切中，把十分之一献给他。“麦基洗德”翻译出来，首先是“公义之王”，然后又是“撒冷之王”——这意思是“和平之王”。

愿群山和冈陵藉着公义为百姓带来平安；

在他的日子里，义人必兴盛，并有丰盛的平安，如月长存。愿他施行管辖，从这海直到那海，从大河直到地极。

他的政权与平安必加增无穷；他必在大卫的宝座上统管他的国，以公正和公义使国坚立稳固，从今直到永远。万军之耶和华的热心必成就这事。
