For he ruled over all the kingdoms west of the Euphrates River, from Tiphsah to Gaza, and had peace on all sides.

Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms that were west of the Euphrates River. He ruled from Tiphsah all the way to Gaza. And he had peace and rest on every side.

迦南的疆域從西頓向基拉耳延伸，遠至迦薩，再向所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪、洗扁延伸，遠至拉沙。

「在至高之處，願榮耀歸於上帝！在地上，願平安臨到祂所喜悅的人！」

這位麥基洗德是撒冷王，也是至高上帝的祭司。當年亞伯拉罕殺敗眾王凱旋歸來的時候，麥基洗德迎上去為他祝福，亞伯拉罕把戰利品的十分之一給了他。麥基洗德這名字的原意是「公義之王」，後來他又被稱為撒冷王，意思是「和平之王」。

願大山給百姓帶來繁榮，小山帶來公義。

現在我的上帝耶和華使我四境太平，內外無憂，

所羅門統管列國，從幼發拉底河至非利士，直到埃及邊界。所羅門在世的日子，列國都年年進貢稱臣。

在他統治之下，願義人興旺，國富民強，如月長存。願他的疆域橫跨洋海，從幼發拉底河直到地極。

祂的國必長治久安。祂必坐在大衛的寶座上以公平和公義治國，使國家永固。萬軍之耶和華必熱切地成就此事。

一天，參孫去迦薩，看見一個妓女，就與她親近。
