For he ruled over all the kingdoms west of the Euphrates River, from Tiphsah to Gaza, and had peace on all sides.

“在至高之处，愿荣耀归于上帝！在地上，愿平安临到祂所喜悦的人！”

这位麦基洗德是撒冷王，也是至高上帝的祭司。当年亚伯拉罕杀败众王凯旋归来的时候，麦基洗德迎上去为他祝福，亚伯拉罕把战利品的十分之一给了他。麦基洗德这名字的原意是“公义之王”，后来他又被称为撒冷王，意思是“和平之王”。

愿大山给百姓带来繁荣，小山带来公义。

现在我的上帝耶和华使我四境太平，内外无忧，

所罗门统管列国，从幼发拉底河至非利士，直到埃及边界。所罗门在世的日子，列国都年年进贡称臣。

在他统治之下，愿义人兴旺，国富民强，如月长存。愿他的疆域横跨洋海，从幼发拉底河直到地极。

祂的国必长治久安。祂必坐在大卫的宝座上以公平和公义治国，使国家永固。万军之耶和华必热切地成就此事。

一天，参孙去迦萨，看见一个妓女，就与她亲近。
