And Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the Euphrates River to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt. These countries brought tribute and were Solomon’s subjects all his life.

在那日，耶和華與亞伯蘭立約，說：「我已賜給你的後裔這一片地，從埃及河直到大河，幼發拉底河，

從曠野和這黎巴嫩，直到大河，就是幼發拉底河，赫人的全地，又到大海日落的方向，都要作你們的疆土。

因你耶路撒冷的殿，列王必帶貢物獻給你。

我要定你的疆界，從紅海直到非利士海，從曠野直到大河。我要把那地的居民交在你手中，你要把他們從你面前趕出去。

但有些無賴之輩說：「這人怎麼能救我們呢？」他們就藐視他，不送禮物給他。掃羅卻保持沉默。

也曾有強大的君王治理耶路撒冷，統管河西全地，人就給他們進貢、納糧、繳稅。

所羅門統管諸王，從大河到非利士人的地，直到埃及的邊界。王在耶路撒冷使銀子多如石頭，香柏木多如謝非拉的桑樹。有人從埃及和各國為所羅門把馬匹運來。所羅門其餘的事，自始至終，不都寫在拿單先知的書上和示羅人亞希雅的《預言書》上，以及易多先見論尼八兒子耶羅波安的《默示書》上嗎？所羅門在耶路撒冷作全以色列的王四十年。所羅門與他祖先同睡，葬在他父親大衛的城裏，他兒子羅波安接續他作王。

所以耶和華堅定約沙法手中的國，猶大眾人給他進貢；約沙法大有財富和尊榮。

所羅門管理整個大河西邊，從提弗薩直到迦薩，以及大河西邊的諸王，屬他的四境盡都平安。

凡你們腳掌所踏之地都必歸於你們；從曠野到黎巴嫩，從幼發拉底大河，直到西邊的海，都要成為你們的疆土。

他要執掌權柄，從這海直到那海，從大河直到地極。住在曠野的必在他面前下拜，他的仇敵必要舔土。他施和海島的王要進貢，示巴和西巴的王要獻禮物。眾王都要叩拜他，萬國都要事奉他。

你們當向耶和華－你們的上帝許願，還願；在他四圍的人都當拿貢物獻給那可畏的主。

亞述王撒縵以色上來攻擊何細亞，何細亞就服事他，向他進貢。

有許多人到耶路撒冷將供物獻與耶和華，又將寶物送給猶大王希西家。自此之後，希西家在列國人的眼中受人尊崇。
