And Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the Euphrates River to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt. These countries brought tribute and were Solomon’s subjects all his life.

就在那一天，耶和华与亚伯兰立约，说：“我已经把这地赐给你的后裔，从埃及河直到幼发拉底大河，

因你在耶路撒冷的圣殿，君王们将给你带来礼物。

然而有些卑劣之徒说：“这人怎么能拯救我们呢？”他们就轻视他，也没有给他带礼物，扫罗却保持沉默。

愿他施行管辖，从这海直到那海，从大河直到地极。旷野的走兽将在他面前屈身，他的仇敌将舔食尘土。塔尔施和众海岛的君王们将带来贡物，示巴和西拔的君王们将献上礼物。所有的君王都要向他下拜，所有的国家都要服事他。

你们当向耶和华你们的神许愿，并要还愿；所有在他四围的人，都要把礼物带给当受敬畏的那一位！
