孰能聽訟於斯眾之間乎、故祈爾使僕聰慧、可辨是非、為民折中。

主之民眾多、孰能判斷其間乎、求主以智慧賜僕、能辨是非、為民折中、

So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?”

So give me a heart that understands. Then I can rule over your people. I can tell the difference between what is right and what is wrong. Who can possibly rule over this great nation of yours?”

Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between right and wrong. For who by himself is able to govern this great people of yours?”

So give your servant a receptive heart to judge your people and to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of yours?”

So give your servant a discerning mind so he can make judicial decisions for your people and distinguish right from wrong. Otherwise no one is able to make judicial decisions for this great nation of yours.”

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.

And your servant thought,‘ The word of my lord the king will set me at rest,’ for my lord the king is like the angel of God to discern good and evil. The Lord your God be with you!”

yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding,if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures,then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity,guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints.Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path;

“ I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me.

Give the king your justice, O God, and your righteousness to the royal son!May he judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice!

And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord. He shall not judge by what his eyes see, or decide disputes by what his ears hear,but with righteousness he shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall kill the wicked.

How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.

Only, may the Lord grant you discretion and understanding, that when he gives you charge over Israel you may keep the law of the Lord your God.

Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God,

Give me now wisdom and knowledge to go out and come in before this people, for who can govern this people of yours, which is so great?”

Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart.

Your testimonies are righteous forever; give me understanding that I may live.

Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

But Moses said to the Lord,“ Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue.”Then the Lord said to him,“ Who has made man’s mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the Lord?Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak.”But he said,“ Oh, my Lord, please send someone else.”

The hearing ear and the seeing eye, the Lord has made them both.

The wisdom of the prudent is to discern his way, but the folly of fools is deceiving.

But there was found in it a poor, wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city. Yet no one remembered that poor man.But I say that wisdom is better than might, though the poor man’s wisdom is despised and his words are not heard.The words of the wise heard in quiet are better than the shouting of a ruler among fools.Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good.

Then I said,“ Ah, Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth.”

Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding,for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold.She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her.Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her; those who hold her fast are called blessed.

[ Yodh] Your hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn your commandments.

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.

But Moses said to God,“ Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”He said,“ But I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

Wisdom is good with an inheritance, an advantage to those who see the sun.

The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one.

John would have prevented him, saying,“ I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?”

And all Israel heard of the judgment that the king had rendered, and they stood in awe of the king, because they perceived that the wisdom of God was in him to do justice.

“ I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things?

Grant to Solomon my son a whole heart that he may keep your commandments, your testimonies, and your statutes, performing all, and that he may build the palace for which I have made provision.”

so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,

Wisdom gives strength to the wise man more than ten rulers who are in a city.
