Solomon replied,“ You demonstrated great loyalty to your servant, my father David, as he served you faithfully, properly, and sincerely. You have maintained this great loyalty to this day by allowing his son to sit on his throne.

所罗门说：“你仆人我父亲大卫以诚实、公义和正直的心在你面前行事为人，你就以极大的慈爱待他；你又为他存留这极大的慈爱，赐给他一个儿子坐在他的王位上，正如今日一样。

所羅門曰、昔爾僕我父大衛、以誠實公義中正、行於爾前、爾循是而施以鴻恩、復加厚惠、賜之一子、踐乎其位、有如今日、

所羅門曰、昔我父大闢、真實無妄、行善為義於爾前、爾施厚恩、使子繼其位、今日之事為證。

所羅門曰、主之僕我父大衛以誠實善義正心、行於主前、主向之施鴻恩、又為之存此大恩、使其子繼繼原文作坐其位、有如今日、

Solomon answered,“ You have shown great kindness to your servant, my father David, because he was faithful to you and righteous and upright in heart. You have continued this great kindness to him and have given him a son to sit on his throne this very day.

Solomon answered,“ You have been very kind to my father David, your servant. That’s because he was faithful to you. He did what was right. His heart was honest. And you have continued to be very kind to him. You have given him a son to sit on his throne this day.

And Solomon said,“ You have shown great and steadfast love to your servant David my father, because he walked before you in faithfulness, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart toward you. And you have kept for him this great and steadfast love and have given him a son to sit on his throne this day.

Solomon replied,“ You showed great and faithful love to your servant my father, David, because he was honest and true and faithful to you. And you have continued to show this great and faithful love to him today by giving him a son to sit on his throne.

And Solomon replied,“ You have shown great and faithful love to your servant, my father David, because he walked before you in faithfulness, righteousness, and integrity. You have continued this great and faithful love for him by giving him a son to sit on his throne, as it is today.

Then Solomon said,“ You have shown great faithfulness to Your servant David my father, according as he walked before You in truth, righteousness, and uprightness of heart toward You; and You have reserved for him this great faithfulness, that You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.

And Solomon said:“ You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.

And Solomon said, Thou hast showed unto thy servant David my father great lovingkindness, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great lovingkindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.

And Solomon replied,“ You have shown great and faithful love to Your servant, my father David, because he walked before You in faithfulness, righteousness, and integrity. You have continued this great and faithful love for him by giving him a son to sit on his throne, as it is today.

And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as[ it is] this day.

Solomon said,“ You have shown to your servant David my father great loving kindness, because he walked before you in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with you. You have kept for him this great loving kindness, that you have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is today.

and said this:‘ The LORD God of Israel is worthy of praise because today he has placed a successor on my throne and allowed me to see it.’”

You must serve me with integrity and sincerity, just as your father David did. Do everything I commanded and obey my rules and regulations.

and the LORD will fulfill his promise to me,‘ If your descendants watch their step and live faithfully in my presence with all their heart and being, then,’ he promised,‘ you will not fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel.’

Whoever lives a blameless life, does what is right, and speaks honestly.

“ So now, say this to my servant David:‘ This is what the LORD of hosts says: I took you from the pasture and from your work as a shepherd to make you leader of my people Israel.I was with you wherever you went, and I defeated all your enemies before you. Now I will make you as famous as the great men of the earth.I will establish a place for my people Israel and settle them there; they will live there and not be disturbed any more. Violent men will not oppress them again, as they did in the beginningand during the time when I appointed judges to lead my people Israel. Instead, I will give you relief from all your enemies. The LORD declares to you that he himself will build a dynastic house for you.When the time comes for you to die, I will raise up your descendant, one of your own sons, to succeed you, and I will establish his kingdom.

The LORD is alive! My protector is praiseworthy! The God who delivers me is exalted as king!The one true God completely vindicates me; he makes nations submit to me.He delivers me from my enemies; you snatch me away from those who attack me; you rescue me from violent men.So I will give you thanks, O LORD, before the nations! I will sing praises to you.He gives his chosen king magnificent victories; he is faithful to his chosen ruler, to David and to his descendants forever!”

The LORD repaid me for my godly deeds; he rewarded my blameless behavior.For I have obeyed the LORD’s commands; I have not rebelled against my God.For I am aware of all his regulations, and I do not reject his rules.I was innocent before him, and kept myself from sinning.The LORD rewarded me for my godly deeds; he took notice of my blameless behavior.

You are the source of wealth and honor; you rule over all. You possess strength and might to magnify and give strength to all.Now, our God, we give thanks to you and praise your majestic name!“ But who am I and who are my people, that we should be in a position to contribute this much? Indeed, everything comes from you, and we have simply given back to you what is yours.

Nathan said to David,“ You are that man! This is what the LORD God of Israel says:‘ I chose you to be king over Israel and I rescued you from the hand of Saul.I gave you your master’s house, and put your master’s wives into your arms. I also gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if all that somehow seems insignificant, I would have given you so much more as well!

Therefore I thought it necessary to urge these brothers to go to you in advance and to arrange ahead of time the generous contribution you had promised, so this may be ready as a generous gift and not as something you feel forced to do.

Rest once more, my soul, for the LORD has vindicated you.

My servant Moses is not like this; he is faithful in all my house.

“ Please, LORD. Remember how I have served you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion, and how I have carried out your will.” Then Hezekiah wept bitterly.

Be kind to your servant! Then I will live and keep your instructions.

“ Go, tell my servant David:‘ This is what the LORD says: Do you really intend to build a house for me to live in?

You will be enriched in every way so that you may be generous on every occasion, which is producing through us thanksgiving to God,

I will sing praises to the LORD when he vindicates me.

He chose David, his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds.He took him away from following the mother sheep, and made him the shepherd of Jacob, his people, and of Israel, his chosen nation.David cared for them with pure motives; he led them with skill.

He did this because David had done what he approved and had not disregarded any of his commandments his entire lifetime, except for the incident involving Uriah the Hittite.
