And Solomon replied,“ You have shown great and faithful love to Your servant, my father David, because he walked before You in faithfulness, righteousness, and integrity. You have continued this great and faithful love for him by giving him a son to sit on his throne, as it is today.

所罗门说：“你曾向你仆人我父亲大卫大施慈爱，因为他用忠信、公义、正直的心行在你面前。你又为他存留大慈爱，赐他一个儿子坐在他的王位上，正如今日一样。

所罗门说：“你的仆人——我父大卫本着诚实、公义、正直的心在你面前行事，你就向他大施恩慈，并且一如既往地以厚恩待他，让他儿子今天继承他的王位。

所罗门说：“你仆人我父亲大卫以诚实、公义和正直的心在你面前行事为人，你就以极大的慈爱待他；你又为他存留这极大的慈爱，赐给他一个儿子坐在他的王位上，正如今日一样。

所羅門說：「你僕人－我父親大衛用誠實、公義、正直的心行在你面前，你就向他大施恩典，又為他存留大恩，賜他一個兒子坐在他的位上，正如今日一樣。

所羅門說：“你僕人我父親大衛以誠實、公義和正直的心在你面前行事為人，你就以極大的慈愛待他；你又為他存留這極大的慈愛，賜給他一個兒子坐在他的王位上，正如今日一樣。

所羅門說：『你僕人我父親大衛怎樣以忠信、公義、正直的心、與你同在、行於你面前，你就怎樣向他施大而堅固的愛，又將這大而堅固的愛留給他，賜給他一個兒子坐他的王位，正如今日一樣。

所羅門曰、昔爾僕我父大衛、以誠實公義中正、行於爾前、爾循是而施以鴻恩、復加厚惠、賜之一子、踐乎其位、有如今日、

所羅門曰、昔我父大闢、真實無妄、行善為義於爾前、爾施厚恩、使子繼其位、今日之事為證。

所羅門曰、主之僕我父大衛以誠實善義正心、行於主前、主向之施鴻恩、又為之存此大恩、使其子繼繼原文作坐其位、有如今日、

Solomon answered,“ You have shown great kindness to your servant, my father David, because he was faithful to you and righteous and upright in heart. You have continued this great kindness to him and have given him a son to sit on his throne this very day.

Solomon answered,“ You have been very kind to my father David, your servant. That’s because he was faithful to you. He did what was right. His heart was honest. And you have continued to be very kind to him. You have given him a son to sit on his throne this day.

And Solomon said,“ You have shown great and steadfast love to your servant David my father, because he walked before you in faithfulness, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart toward you. And you have kept for him this great and steadfast love and have given him a son to sit on his throne this day.

Solomon replied,“ You showed great and faithful love to your servant my father, David, because he was honest and true and faithful to you. And you have continued to show this great and faithful love to him today by giving him a son to sit on his throne.

And Solomon replied,“ You have shown great and faithful love to your servant, my father David, because he walked before you in faithfulness, righteousness, and integrity. You have continued this great and faithful love for him by giving him a son to sit on his throne, as it is today.

Then Solomon said,“ You have shown great faithfulness to Your servant David my father, according as he walked before You in truth, righteousness, and uprightness of heart toward You; and You have reserved for him this great faithfulness, that You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.

And Solomon said:“ You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.

And Solomon said, Thou hast showed unto thy servant David my father great lovingkindness, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great lovingkindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.

And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as[ it is] this day.

Solomon replied,“ You demonstrated great loyalty to your servant, my father David, as he served you faithfully, properly, and sincerely. You have maintained this great loyalty to this day by allowing his son to sit on his throne.

Solomon said,“ You have shown to your servant David my father great loving kindness, because he walked before you in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with you. You have kept for him this great loving kindness, that you have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is today.

And the king went on to say this:‘ May the Lord God of Israel be praised! Today He has provided one to sit on my throne, and I am a witness.’”

As for you, if you walk before Me as your father David walked, with a heart of integrity and in what is right, doing everything I have commanded you, and if you keep My statutes and ordinances,

and so that the Lord will carry out His promise that He made to me:‘ If your sons are careful to walk faithfully before Me with their whole mind and heart, you will never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.’

The one who lives honestly, practices righteousness, and acknowledges the truth in his heart—

“ Now this is what you are to say to My servant David:‘ This is what the Lord of Hosts says: I took you from the pasture and from following the sheep to be ruler over My people Israel.I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have destroyed all your enemies before you. I will make a name for you like that of the greatest in the land.I will establish a place for My people Israel and plant them, so that they may live there and not be disturbed again. Evildoers will not afflict them as they have doneever since the day I ordered judges to be over My people Israel. I will give you rest from all your enemies.“‘ The Lord declares to you: The Lord Himself will make a house for you.When your time comes and you rest with your fathers, I will raise up after you your descendant, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom.

The Lord lives— may my rock be praised! God, the rock of my salvation, is exalted.God— He gives me vengeance and casts down peoples under me.He frees me from my enemies. You exalt me above my adversaries; You rescue me from violent men.Therefore I will praise You, Lord, among the nations; I will sing about Your name.He is a tower of salvation for His king; He shows loyalty to His anointed, to David and his descendants forever.

The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; He repaid me according to the cleanness of my hands.For I have kept the ways of the Lord and have not turned from my God to wickedness.Indeed, I have kept all His ordinances in mind and have not disregarded His statutes.I was blameless toward Him and kept myself from sinning.So the Lord repaid me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in His sight.

Riches and honor come from You, and You are the ruler of everything. Power and might are in Your hand, and it is in Your hand to make great and to give strength to all.Now therefore, our God, we give You thanks and praise Your glorious name.But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? For everything comes from You, and we have given You only what comes from Your own hand.

Nathan replied to David,“ You are the man! This is what the Lord God of Israel says:‘ I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul.I gave your master’s house to you and your master’s wives into your arms, and I gave you the house of Israel and Judah, and if that was not enough, I would have given you even more.

Therefore I considered it necessary to urge the brothers to go on ahead to you and arrange in advance the generous gift you promised, so that it will be ready as a gift and not as an extortion.

Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.

Not so with My servant Moses; he is faithful in all My household.

“ Please Lord, remember how I have walked before You faithfully and wholeheartedly and have done what pleases You.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

Deal generously with Your servant so that I might live; then I will keep Your word.

“ Go to My servant David and say,‘ This is what the Lord says: Are you to build a house for Me to live in?

You will be enriched in every way for all generosity, which produces thanksgiving to God through us.

I will sing to the Lord because He has treated me generously.

He chose David His servant and took him from the sheepfolds;He brought him from tending ewes to be shepherd over His people Jacob— over Israel, His inheritance.He shepherded them with a pure heart and guided them with his skillful hands.

For David did what was right in the Lord’s eyes, and he did not turn aside from anything He had commanded him all the days of his life, except in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.
