In Gibeon, Yahweh appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said,“ Ask for what I should give you.”

At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said,“ Ask for whatever you want me to give you.”

The Lord appeared to Solomon at Gibeon. He spoke to him in a dream during the night. God said,“ Ask for anything you want me to give you.”

At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night, and God said,“ Ask what I shall give you.”

That night the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream, and God said,“ What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!”

At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream at night. God said,“ Ask. What should I give you?”

One night in Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream. God said,“ Tell me what I should give you.”

Yahweh appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared to him at Gibeon.

That night, God appeared to Solomon and said to him,“ Ask for what you want me to give you.”Solomon said to God,“ You have shown great loving kindness to David my father, and have made me king in his place.Now, Yahweh God, let your promise to David my father be established; for you have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of yours?”God said to Solomon,“ Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches, wealth, honor, or the life of those who hate you, nor yet have you asked for long life; but have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge my people, over whom I have made you king,therefore wisdom and knowledge is granted to you. I will give you riches, wealth, and honor, such as none of the kings have had who have been before you had, and none after you will have.”

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed.

Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.

Yahweh was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned away from Yahweh, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice,

He said,“ Now hear my words. If there is a prophet among you, I, Yahweh, will make myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream.

Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying,“ Arise and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and stay there until I tell you, for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.”

He said to them,“ What do you want me to do for you?”

But Jesus said to them,“ You don’t know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?”They said to him,“ We are able.” Jesus said to them,“ You shall indeed drink the cup that I drink, and you shall be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with;but to sit at my right hand and at my left hand is not mine to give, but for whom it has been prepared.”When the ten heard it, they began to be indignant toward James and John.Jesus summoned them, and said to them,“ You know that they who are recognized as rulers over the nations lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.But it shall not be so among you, but whoever wants to become great among you shall be your servant.Whoever of you wants to become first among you, shall be bondservant of all.For the Son of Man also came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”They came to Jericho. As he went out from Jericho, with his disciples and a great multitude, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the road.When he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out, and say,“ Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me!”Many rebuked him, that he should be quiet, but he cried out much more,“ You son of David, have mercy on me!”Jesus stood still, and said,“ Call him.” They called the blind man, saying to him,“ Cheer up! Get up. He is calling you!”He, casting away his cloak, sprang up, and came to Jesus.Jesus asked him,“ What do you want me to do for you?” The blind man said to him,“ Rabboni, that I may see again.”

But when he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying,“ Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take to yourself Mary, your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.

But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying,

He dreamed and saw a stairway set upon the earth, and its top reached to heaven. Behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.Behold, Yahweh stood above it, and said,“ I am Yahweh, the God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac. I will give the land you lie on to you and to your offspring.

You didn’t choose me, but I chose you and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

“ Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you.For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.

This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.

For God speaks once, yes twice, though man pays no attention.In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, in slumbering on the bed;

Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them.
