At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said,“ Ask for whatever you want me to give you.”

The Lord appeared to Solomon at Gibeon. He spoke to him in a dream during the night. God said,“ Ask for anything you want me to give you.”

That night the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream, and God said,“ What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!”

At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream at night. God said,“ Ask. What should I give you?”

In that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him,“ Ask what I shall give you.”And Solomon said to God,“ You have shown great and steadfast love to David my father, and have made me king in his place.O Lord God, let your word to David my father be now fulfilled, for you have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth.Give me now wisdom and knowledge to go out and come in before this people, for who can govern this people of yours, which is so great?”God answered Solomon,“ Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked for possessions, wealth, honor, or the life of those who hate you, and have not even asked for long life, but have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself that you may govern my people over whom I have made you king,wisdom and knowledge are granted to you. I will also give you riches, possessions, and honor, such as none of the kings had who were before you, and none after you shall have the like.”

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.

Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

And the Lord was angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned away from the Lord, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice

And he said,“ Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord make myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream.

Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said,“ Rise, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you, for Herod is about to search for the child, to destroy him.”

And he said to them,“ What do you want me to do for you?”

Jesus said to them,“ You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, or to be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized?”And they said to him,“ We are able.” And Jesus said to them,“ The cup that I drink you will drink, and with the baptism with which I am baptized, you will be baptized,but to sit at my right hand or at my left is not mine to grant, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared.”And when the ten heard it, they began to be indignant at James and John.And Jesus called them to him and said to them,“ You know that those who are considered rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.But it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant,and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all.For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”And they came to Jericho. And as he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a great crowd, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the roadside.And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say,“ Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”And many rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”And Jesus stopped and said,“ Call him.” And they called the blind man, saying to him,“ Take heart. Get up; he is calling you.”And throwing off his cloak, he sprang up and came to Jesus.And Jesus said to him,“ What do you want me to do for you?” And the blind man said to him,“ Rabbi, let me recover my sight.”

But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying,“ Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

But when Herod died, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

And he dreamed, and behold, there was a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven. And behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it!And behold, the Lord stood above it and said,“ I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac. The land on which you lie I will give to you and to your offspring.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

“ Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.

For God speaks in one way, and in two, though man does not perceive it.In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, while they slumber on their beds,

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
