At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream at night. God said,“ Ask. What should I give you?”

At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said,“ Ask for whatever you want me to give you.”

The Lord appeared to Solomon at Gibeon. He spoke to him in a dream during the night. God said,“ Ask for anything you want me to give you.”

At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night, and God said,“ Ask what I shall give you.”

That night the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream, and God said,“ What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!”

In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream at night; and God said,“ Ask what you wish Me to give you.”

the LORD appeared to Solomon a second time just as he had appeared to him at Gibeon.

That night God appeared to Solomon and said to him,“ Ask. What should I give you?”And Solomon said to God,“ You have shown great and faithful love to my father David, and you have made me king in his place.LORD God, let your promise to my father David now come true. For you have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth.Now grant me wisdom and knowledge so that I may lead these people, for who can judge this great people of yours?”God said to Solomon,“ Since this was in your heart, and you have not requested riches, wealth, or glory, or for the life of those who hate you, and you have not even requested long life, but you have requested for yourself wisdom and knowledge that you may judge my people over whom I have made you king,wisdom and knowledge are given to you. I will also give you riches, wealth, and glory, unlike what was given to the kings who were before you, or will be given to those after you.”

Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God— who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly— and it will be given to him.But let him ask in faith without doubting. For the doubter is like the surging sea, driven and tossed by the wind.

Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

The LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned away from the LORD, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice.

he said:“ Listen to what I say: If there is a prophet among you from the LORD, I make myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream.

After they were gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying,“ Get up! Take the child and his mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you. For Herod is about to search for the child to kill him.”

“ What do you want me to do for you?” he asked them.

Jesus said to them,“ You don’t know what you’re asking. Are you able to drink the cup I drink or to be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with?”“ We are able,” they told him. Jesus said to them,“ You will drink the cup I drink, and you will be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with.But to sit at my right or left is not mine to give; instead, it is for those for whom it has been prepared.”When the ten disciples heard this, they began to be indignant with James and John.Jesus called them over and said to them,“ You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in high positions act as tyrants over them.But it is not so among you. On the contrary, whoever wants to become great among you will be your servant,and whoever wants to be first among you will be a slave to all.For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”They came to Jericho. And as he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a large crowd, Bartimaeus( the son of Timaeus), a blind beggar, was sitting by the road.When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out,“ Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”Many warned him to keep quiet, but he was crying out all the more,“ Have mercy on me, Son of David!”Jesus stopped and said,“ Call him.” So they called the blind man and said to him,“ Have courage! Get up; he’s calling for you.”He threw off his coat, jumped up, and came to Jesus.Then Jesus answered him,“ What do you want me to do for you?”“ Rabboni,” the blind man said to him,“ I want to see.”

But after he had considered these things, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying,“ Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because what has been conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

And he dreamed: A stairway was set on the ground with its top reaching the sky, and God’s angels were going up and down on it.The LORD was standing there beside him, saying,“ I am the LORD, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your offspring the land on which you are lying.

You did not choose me, but I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will give you.

“ Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

This is the confidence we have before him: If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.And if we know that he hears whatever we ask, we know that we have what we have asked of him.

For God speaks time and again, but a person may not notice it.In a dream, a vision in the night, when deep sleep comes over people as they slumber on their beds,

Therefore I tell you, everything you pray and ask for— believe that you have received it and it will be yours.
