可是时机来了。希律在自己生日那天预备宴席，招待他的大臣和军官们，以及加利利的首领们。

他作王的第三年，为所有的首领和臣仆摆设宴席；波斯和米底亚的将领们、贵族、各省的首领都在他面前。

伯沙撒王为他的一千名大臣摆设了盛大的宴席，当着这一千人的面喝酒。

于是雅各在山上献祭物，又叫他的兄弟们来吃饭。他们吃了饭，就在山上过夜。

到了第三天，正是法老的生日，他为所有的臣仆摆设宴席，并在他们面前抬起了司酒长和司膳长的头。
