I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be.

I will give it to you. I will give you a wise and understanding heart. So here is what will be true of you. There has never been anyone like you. And there never will be.

I will give you what you asked for! I will give you a wise and understanding heart such as no one else has had or ever will have!

I will therefore do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has never been anyone like you before and never will be again.

I said in my heart,“ I have acquired great wisdom, surpassing all who were over Jerusalem before me, and my heart has had great experience of wisdom and knowledge.”

And the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him. And there was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty.

Thus King Solomon excelled all the kings of the earth in riches and in wisdom.And the whole earth sought the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom, which God had put into his mind.

And all Israel heard of the judgment that the king had rendered, and they stood in awe of the king, because they perceived that the wisdom of God was in him to do justice.

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

Act therefore according to your wisdom, but do not let his gray head go down to Sheol in peace.

Now therefore do not hold him guiltless, for you are a wise man. You will know what you ought to do to him, and you shall bring his gray head down with blood to Sheol.”

Hiram also said,“ Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who made heaven and earth, who has given King David a wise son, who has discretion and understanding, who will build a temple for the Lord and a royal palace for himself.

And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding beyond measure, and breadth of mind like the sand on the seashore,so that Solomon’s wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all the people of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt.For he was wiser than all other men, wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol, and his fame was in all the surrounding nations.He also spoke 3,000 proverbs, and his songs were 1,005.He spoke of trees, from the cedar that is in Lebanon to the hyssop that grows out of the wall. He spoke also of beasts, and of birds, and of reptiles, and of fish.And people of all nations came to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and from all the kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.

And I applied my heart to seek and to search out by wisdom all that is done under heaven. It is an unhappy business that God has given to the children of man to be busy with.

And Solomon answered all her questions; there was nothing hidden from the king that he could not explain to her.And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built,the food of his table, the seating of his officials, and the attendance of his servants, their clothing, his cupbearers, and his burnt offerings that he offered at the house of the Lord, there was no more breath in her.And she said to the king,“ The report was true that I heard in my own land of your words and of your wisdom,but I did not believe the reports until I came and my own eyes had seen it. And behold, the half was not told me. Your wisdom and prosperity surpass the report that I heard.Happy are your men! Happy are your servants, who continually stand before you and hear your wisdom!

for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict.

Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear.

O Lord, you hear the desire of the afflicted; you will strengthen their heart; you will incline your ear

in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

God answered Solomon,“ Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked for possessions, wealth, honor, or the life of those who hate you, and have not even asked for long life, but have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself that you may govern my people over whom I have made you king,wisdom and knowledge are granted to you. I will also give you riches, possessions, and honor, such as none of the kings had who were before you, and none after you shall have the like.”

And she said to the king,“ The report was true that I heard in my own land of your words and of your wisdom,but I did not believe the reports until I came and my own eyes had seen it. And behold, half the greatness of your wisdom was not told me; you surpass the report that I heard.Happy are your wives! Happy are these your servants, who continually stand before you and hear your wisdom!Blessed be the Lord your God, who has delighted in you and set you on his throne as king for the Lord your God! Because your God loved Israel and would establish them forever, he has made you king over them, that you may execute justice and righteousness.”

The queen of the South will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, something greater than Solomon is here.
