He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, because he followed the ways of his father and mother and of Jeroboam son of Nebat, who caused Israel to sin.

Ahaziah did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. He lived the way his father and mother had lived. He lived the way Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, had lived. Jeroboam had caused Israel to sin.

He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and walked in the way of his father and in the way of his mother and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

作惡於耶和華前、從父所為使以色列族陷罪。

自昔以來、未有若亞哈、在耶和華前、惟惡是務、為其后耶洗別所慫慂、

既與亞哈家為姻婭、則從亞哈所為、行惡於耶和華前、

亞哈謝在撒馬利亞墜樓欄致疾、遣使者曰、爾往詢以革倫之上帝巴力西卜、此疾得愈否。耶和華之使告的庇人以利亞曰、爾往迓撒馬利亞王之使者、告之曰、在以色列中豈無上帝、乃往詢以革倫之上帝巴力西卜乎。故耶和華云、爾寢於床、不得再下、至於死亡。以利亞遂往。使者反。王曰、爾何遽返。曰、有人迓我、使我以耶和華所言、反告於王云、在以色列中、豈無上帝、乃遣人詢以革倫之上帝巴力西卜乎。故爾寢於床、不得再下、至於死亡。曰、迓爾而告以此言者、其人若何。

從母言、行不義、效亞哈家尤、

我於戶外叩門、有聞我聲而闢之者、吾將入室、偕彼飲食、

乃敢作惡、較前人尤甚、既違背我、鑄作偶像、奉事他上帝、干我震怒。故我必降災於耶羅破暗家、使在以色列族中、絶其所有、或主或僕、不遺一男、如其子孫尚有存者、棄之如糞壤、必務其盡、屬耶羅破暗者、死於城邑、犬將食之、死於郊野、飛鳥食之、耶和華所命如是。爾當旋歸、足履城時、爾子必死。以色列族眾、必哭而葬之、屬耶羅破暗者、惟此子得葬於墓、蓋彼一人行善於以色列族上帝耶和華前。耶和華必舉人為王、治理以色列、絶耶羅破暗家、其時將至。因以色列族作偶像、干耶和華震怒、故必擊之、若萑葦搖於水中、拔以色列族之根株、出於所錫列祖之腴壤、散於河外。蓋耶羅破暗已干罪戾、令以色列族陷罪、故耶和華必棄以色列族。

行惡於耶和華前、從耶羅破暗所為、使以色列族陷罪。

然亦恆從尼八子耶羅破暗之惡、使以色列族陷罪。

約藍見耶戶、則曰耶戶、爾為平康而至乎。曰、王母耶洗別、狥私欲、拜偶像、從巫覡、若是之多、焉得平康乎。

女退、問母曰、我當何求、其母曰、施洗約翰之首、

行惡於耶和華前、較前王愈甚、從尼八子耶羅破暗所行、猶為細事、乃娶西頓王、謁巴力女、耶洗別為后、遂服事崇拜巴力、在撒馬利亞邑、建巴力殿、內築祭壇、以奉事之、亦作偶像、較以色列前王更甚、干以色列族之上帝耶和華震怒。

籌思既竟、作二金犢、告民曰、詣耶路撒冷甚難、昔導以色列族出自埃及之上帝即此。置一犢於伯特利、一犢於但。此事陷人於罪、民往至但、崇拜一犢。耶羅破暗於崇邱作殿、以凡民為祭司、不屬利未族者、猶大地固有節期、耶羅破暗別設節期、於八月之望、獻祭於壇、亦在伯特利祭所作之犢、以所任為崇邱之祭司、置於伯特利。既從己意、八月之望定節期、使以色列族恪守、則在是月、於伯特利所作之壇、獻祭焚香。
