He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, because he followed the ways of his father and mother and of Jeroboam son of Nebat, who caused Israel to sin.

Ahaziah did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. He lived the way his father and mother had lived. He lived the way Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, had lived. Jeroboam had caused Israel to sin.

He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and walked in the way of his father and in the way of his mother and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

有一天，亚哈谢在撒玛利亚，从楼上的窗户掉下来，他就病了；于是他差派使者，对他们说：“你们去求问以革伦的神巴力．西卜，我这个病到底能否复原？”但耶和华的使者对提斯比人以利亚说：“你动身上去迎着撒玛利亚王的使者，对他们说：‘你们去求问以革伦的神巴力．西卜，是因为以色列中没有神吗？因此，耶和华这样说：你必不能从你躺上去的那张床上下来，因为你必定死。’”于是以利亚去了。众使者回到亚哈谢那里；他对他们说：“你们为什么回来呢？”他们对王说：“有一个人上来迎着我们，又对我们说：‘去吧，回到那差派你们的王那里，对他说：耶和华这样说：你派人去求问以革伦的神巴力．西卜，是因为以色列中没有神吗？因此，你必不能从你躺上去的那张床上下来，因为你必定死。’”王对他们说：“那上来迎着你们，又对你们说这番话的是个怎样的人？”

亚哈谢也随从亚哈家的道路，因为他母亲教唆他行恶。

看哪！我站在门外敲门；如果有人听见我的声音就开门的，我要进到他那里去，我要跟他在一起，他也要跟我在一起吃饭。

你反倒行恶，比那些在你以前的更坏；又去为自己制造了别的神和铸造偶像惹我发怒，把我丢在背后。因此，我必使灾祸临到耶罗波安的家；我必剪除以色列中所有属于耶罗波安的男丁，无论是自由的或是不自由的；我必铲除耶罗波安的家，像人扫除粪土一样，直到完全除尽为止。属于耶罗波安的人，死在城里的，必被狗吃掉；死在田野的，必给空中的飞鸟吃掉。因为这是耶和华说的。’所以你起来，回家去吧，你的脚一进城，你的孩子就必死亡。以色列众人要为他举哀，把他埋葬；属耶罗波安的人中，只有他可以入葬坟墓；因为在耶罗波安的家中，只有他向耶和华以色列的神显出善行。耶和华必为自己兴起一个王治理以色列，他必剪除耶罗波安家，今天就是时候了，就是现在！耶和华必击打以色列人，他们就摆动，像芦苇在水中摆动一样。他要把以色列人从他赐给他们列祖的这块美地上拔出来，把他们分散在幼发拉底河那边，因为他们做了亚舍拉，惹耶和华发怒。为了耶罗波安所犯的罪，又为了他使以色列人所犯的罪，耶和华必丢弃以色列人。”

他行耶和华看为恶的事，行耶罗波安的路，犯了耶罗波安使以色列人陷在罪中的那罪。

只是尼八的儿子耶罗波安使以色列人陷在罪中的那些罪，他却坚持不舍，不肯脱离。

约兰看见耶户的时候，就说：“耶户，平安吗？”耶户说：“你的母亲耶洗别的淫行和邪术这么多，还有平安吗？”

于是她出去问母亲：“我该求什么呢？”希罗底告诉她：“施洗的约翰的头！”

暗利的儿子亚哈行耶和华看为恶的事，比他以前所有的王更厉害。亚哈犯了尼八的儿子耶罗波安所犯的罪，还以为是小事。他又娶了西顿王谒巴力的女儿耶洗别作妻子，去服事巴力，敬拜巴力。他在撒玛利亚建筑巴力庙，又在庙里为巴力立了一座祭坛。亚哈又做了亚舍拉，亚哈所行的，惹耶和华以色列的神发怒，比他以前所有的以色列王更厉害。

王打定了主意，就做了两个金牛犊，对众民说：“以色列人哪，你们上耶路撒冷去实在够了。看哪，这是你们的神，就是从埃及地领你们上来的那位。”他就把一个牛犊安放在伯特利，一个安放在但。这事成了以色列人的罪，因为众民都到但那个牛犊面前敬拜。耶罗波安在邱坛那里建殿，把不是利未子孙的平民立为祭司。耶罗波安又定了八月十五日为节期，像在犹大的节期一样，他自己在祭坛上献祭，他在伯特利也是这样向他所铸造的牛犊献祭；他又在伯特利为他所建造的邱坛设立祭司。八月十五日，就是他心里私定作为以色列人节期的日子，他在伯特利在自己所建的祭坛上献祭烧香。
