Ahab rested with his ancestors. And Ahaziah his son succeeded him as king.

Ahab joined the members of his family who had already died. Ahab’s son Ahaziah became the next king after him.

So David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David.

Ahaziah the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigned two years over Israel.
