They washed the chariot at a pool in Samaria. It was where the prostitutes took baths. The dogs licked up Ahab’s blood. It happened exactly as the Lord had said it would.

And they washed the chariot by the pool of Samaria, and the dogs licked up his blood, and the prostitutes washed themselves in it, according to the word of the Lord that he had spoken.

Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed.But just as all the good things the Lord your God has promised you have come to you, so he will bring on you all the evil things he has threatened, until the Lord your God has destroyed you from this good land he has given you.

who foils the signs of false prophets and makes fools of diviners, who overthrows the learning of the wise and turns it into nonsense,who carries out the words of his servants and fulfills the predictions of his messengers, who says of Jerusalem,‘ It shall be inhabited,’ of the towns of Judah,‘ They shall be rebuilt,’ and of their ruins,‘ I will restore them,’

“ Did not the Lord remember and call to mind the incense burned in the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem by you and your ancestors, your kings and your officials and the people of the land?When the Lord could no longer endure your wicked actions and the detestable things you did, your land became a curse and a desolate waste without inhabitants, as it is today.Because you have burned incense and have sinned against the Lord and have not obeyed him or followed his law or his decrees or his stipulations, this disaster has come upon you, as you now see.”
