and say,‘ This is what the king says: Put this fellow in prison and give him nothing but bread and water until I return safely.’”

and say,‘ Thus says the king:“ Put this fellow in prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and water of affliction, until I come in peace.”’”

亞撒因此怒先見、囚之於獄、斯時又虐民中數人、

以色列王曰、執米該雅、歸付邑宰亞們、及王子約阿施、告之曰、王命拘此夫於獄、食以艱苦之餅、飲以艱苦之水、待我安歸、米該雅曰、如爾安歸、則是耶和華未藉我而言、又曰、諸民、爾其聽之、○

緣此、我保羅因爾異邦人、為基督耶穌之囚、

爾以淚為糧而食之、以巨量之淚飲之兮、

噫、爾言今日明日將往某邑、寓彼一年、貿易獲利、但明日如何、爾不知也、爾生命伊何、猶雲霧耳、暫見而即無矣、

我食灰如餅、和淚而飲兮、

毋食有酵之餅、七日之內、必食無酵餅、即困苦餅、以爾昔出埃及維速、當憶是日、畢生勿忘、

絕我命於阱、擲石於我身兮、水滅我頂、我曰我其亡兮、耶和華歟、我自深阱呼籲爾名兮、

耶和華立爾為祭司、以代祭司耶何耶大、俾在耶和華室為督、凡狂妄之徒、自稱為先知者、爾當執之、拘以項械、加以桎梏、

倘斯僕意謂我主稽遲、遂扑僕婢、食飲且醉、乃於不意之日、不知之時、其主至、處以極刑、擬與不信者同科、

初希律遣人執約翰繫獄、為其弟腓力妻希羅底故、蓋希律已娶之、約翰曾謂之曰、納弟妻非宜也、於是希羅底怨之、欲殺之而弗得、因希律敬畏約翰、知其義且聖、而庇之、聞其言、心多猶豫、而喜聽之、會逢其適、希律於誕辰設筵、宴諸大夫千夫長及加利利之尊者、希羅底之女入舞、以娛希律及同筵者、王謂之曰、凡爾所欲、求則予之、又矢之曰、爾所求、即國之半、我亦予之、女退、謂母曰、我當何求、曰、施洗約翰之首、女亟入見王、求曰、我欲施洗約翰首、即置盤中予我、王憂甚、然以矢故、又以同筵者在、不欲拒之、乃命侍衛一人、取約翰首、遂斬之於獄、置首於盤、以予女、女以予母、

乃益其惡、囚約翰於獄、○

主雖供爾以患難之餅、與艱苦之水、而爾師傅不復藏匿、爾必目睹之、

則撻先知耶利米、加以桎梏、在耶和華室便雅憫上門、

諸牧伯怒耶利米、撻之、囚於繕寫約拿單室、蓋以此室為獄也、

心滿嫉恨、起而著手於使徒、置之外獄、

爾曹夙興晏寢、勞苦謀食、俱係徒然、上帝所愛者、偃息之時、錫以綏安兮、

勿懼爾將受之苦、魔將投爾中數人於獄以試之、爾將受難十日、宜忠信至死、我則賜爾以維生之冕、

蓋爾詳知主之日至、如夜間之盜、人方謂平康安固、滅亡突及之、如產難之及妊婦、而莫之避也、

又嘗行之於耶路撒冷、且由祭司諸長受權、多囚聖徒、迨其見殺、我亦許之、

彼眾遂執耶利米、囚於王子瑪基雅之井、在護軍院內、以繩縋之下、井無水而有泥、耶利米乃陷於泥中、

杖甚、則下之獄、命獄吏固守之、獄吏受命、下之內獄、以木桎其足、

保羅論公義節制、及將來之鞫、腓力斯懼曰、今且退、暇時將召爾、因冀保羅納以金、遂屢召共語也、越二年、波求非斯都、代腓力斯職、腓力斯欲取悅猶太人、仍留保羅於縲絏中、
