Then Zedekiah son of Kenaanah went up and slapped Micaiah in the face.“ Which way did the spirit from the Lord go when he went from me to speak to you?” he asked.

Then Zedekiah, the son of Kenaanah, went up and slapped Micaiah in the face. Zedekiah asked Micaiah,“ Do you think the spirit sent by the Lord left me? Do you think that spirit went to speak to you?”

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near and struck Micaiah on the cheek and said,“ How did the Spirit of the Lord go from me to speak to you?”

Then Zedekiah son of Kenaanah walked up to Micaiah and slapped him across the face.“ Since when did the Spirit of the Lord leave me to speak to you?” he demanded.

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah approached and struck Micaiah on the cheek; and he said,“ How did the Spirit of the Lord pass from me to speak to you?”

Now Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near and struck Micaiah on the cheek, and said,“ Which way did the spirit from the Lord go from me to speak to you?”

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of Jehovah from me to speak unto thee?

Then Zedekiah son of Chenaanah came up, hit Micaiah in the face, and demanded,“ Did the Spirit of the Lord leave me to speak to you?”

But Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee?

Zedekiah son of Kenaanah approached, hit Micaiah on the jaw, and said,“ Which way did the LORD’s spirit go when he went from me to speak to you?”

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and struck Micaiah on the cheek, and said,“ Which way did Yahweh’s Spirit go from me to speak to you?”

The high priest Ananias ordered those who were standing next to him to strike him on the mouth.

Now, daughter who is under attack, you slash yourself in grief; a siege is set against us! They are striking the judge of Israel on the cheek with a rod.

Let him offer his cheek to the one who would strike him; let him be filled with disgrace.

Then Zedekiah son of Chenaanah came up, hit Micaiah on the cheek, and demanded,“ Which way did the spirit from the LORD leave me to speak to you?”Micaiah replied,“ You will soon see when you go to hide in an inner chamber on that day.”

Then some began to spit on him, to blindfold him, and to beat him, saying,“ Prophesy!” The temple servants also took him and slapped him.

The Lord GOD has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious; I did not turn back.I gave my back to those who beat me, and my cheeks to those who tore out my beard. I did not hide my face from scorn and spitting.

Then Zedekiah son of Chenaanah made iron horns and said,“ This is what the LORD says:‘ You will gore the Arameans with these until they are finished off.’”

They were hitting him on the head with a stick and spitting on him. Getting down on their knees, they were paying him homage.After they had mocked him, they stripped him of the purple robe and put his clothes on him. They led him out to crucify him.

“ He saved others, but he cannot save himself! He is the King of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him.He trusts in God; let God rescue him now— if he takes pleasure in him! For he said,‘ I am the Son of God.’”

“ If the world hates you, understand that it hated me before it hated you.

Remember the word I spoke to you:‘ A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.

and said,“ Prophesy to us, Messiah! Who was it that hit you?”

But I tell you, don’t resist an evildoer. On the contrary, if anyone slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.

‘ The LORD has appointed you priest in place of the priest Jehoiada to be the chief officer in the temple of the LORD, responsible for every madman who acts like a prophet. You must confine him in the stocks and an iron collar.So now, why have you not rebuked Jeremiah of Anathoth who has been acting like a prophet among you?

The prophet Hananiah then took the yoke bar from the neck of the prophet Jeremiah and broke it.In the presence of all the people Hananiah proclaimed,“ This is what the LORD says:‘ In this way, within two years I will break the yoke of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon from the neck of all the nations.’” The prophet Jeremiah then went on his way.
