All the other prophets were prophesying the same thing.“ Attack Ramoth Gilead and be victorious,” they said,“ for the Lord will give it into the king’s hand.”

All the other prophets were prophesying the same thing.“ Attack Ramoth Gilead,” they said.“ Win the battle over it. The Lord will hand it over to you.”

And all the prophets prophesied so and said,“ Go up to Ramoth-gilead and triumph; the Lord will give it into the hand of the king.”

All the other prophets agreed.“ Yes,” they said,“ go up to Ramoth gilead and be victorious, for the Lord will give the king victory!”

And all the prophets were prophesying the same:“ March up to Ramoth-gilead and succeed, for the LORD will hand it over to the king.”

約西亞卻不肯轉臉離開他，反而化裝要和他交戰。他不聽尼哥的話、由上帝口所說出的，就到米吉多平原交戰去。

戰車長們看見約沙法，便心裏說：『這必是以色列王。』就轉過去和他交戰；約沙法便喊叫起來。戰車長們見不是以色列王，便轉回去不追他。有一個人隨便拉一拉弓，恰巧射進了以色列王胸甲聯接塊與鎧甲之間；王對趕車的說：『你轉過車手來、拉我吧；我受了傷了。』那一天戰事越來越猛烈；有人扶着王站在車上、正和亞蘭人相對着；晚上王就死了；傷處的血流到車腹中。約當日落的時候、有號令傳遍軍營中、說：『各歸本城，各歸本地去吧！』

於是以色列王集合了神言人約四百位，問他們說：『我去對基列的拉末交戰可以麼？還是要忍着不去呢？』他們說：『你可以上去，主一定將那地交在王手裏。』約沙法說：『這裏不是還有永恆主的神言人、我們可以尋問他麼？』以色列王對約沙法說：『還有一個人、是音拉的兒子米該雅、我們可以託他尋問永恆主。不過我恨他，因為他傳神言論到我、總不說吉祥話，總是說不吉祥的話。』約沙法說：『請王不要這樣說。』以色列王就召了一個內侍來，說：『快將音拉的兒子米該雅召來。』以色列王和猶大王約沙法在撒瑪利亞城門出入處廣場上、各穿着朝服，坐在位上；所有的神言人都在他們面前發神言狂。基拿拿的兒子西底家造了幾個鐵角、說：『永恆主這樣說：「你要用這些角去牴觸亞蘭人，直到將他們滅盡。」』眾神言人也都這樣傳神言說：『可以上基列的拉末去，取得勝利；永恆主一定將那地交在王手裏。』那去召米該雅的使者對米該雅說；『看哪，眾神言人都一口同聲向王說吉祥話；你的話也必須像他們中間一位的話；總要說吉祥話呀。』米該雅說：『我指着永活的永恆主來起誓，永恆主對我說甚麼，我就說甚麼。』米該雅來到王面前，王問他說：『米該雅啊，我們到基列的拉末去交戰可以麼？還是要忍着不去呢？』他對王說：『你可以上去，取得勝利；永恆主一定將那地交在王手裏。』
