Now Zedekiah son of Kenaanah had made iron horns and he declared,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ With these you will gore the Arameans until they are destroyed.’”

Zedekiah was the son of Kenaanah. Zedekiah had made horns out of iron. They looked like animal horns. He announced,“ The Lord says,‘ With these horns you will drive back the men of Aram until they are destroyed.’ ”

And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made for himself horns of iron and said,“ Thus says the Lord,‘ With these you shall push the Syrians until they are destroyed.’”

One of them, Zedekiah son of Kenaanah, made some iron horns and proclaimed,“ This is what the Lord says: With these horns you will gore the Arameans to death!”

Then Zedekiah son of Chenaanah made iron horns and said,“ This is what the LORD says:‘ You will gore the Arameans with these until they are finished off.’”

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made horns of iron for himself and said,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ With these you will gore the Arameans until they are destroyed!’ ”

Now Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah had made horns of iron for himself; and he said,“ Thus says the Lord:‘ With these you shall gore the Syrians until they are destroyed.’”

And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron, and said, Thus saith Jehovah, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until they be consumed.

Then Zedekiah son of Chenaanah made iron horns and said,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ You will gore the Arameans with these until they are finished off.’”

And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron: and he said, Thus saith the LORD, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until thou have consumed them.

Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made himself horns of iron, and said,“ Yahweh says,‘ With these you will push the Syrians, until they are consumed.’”

( 2: 1) Once again I looked and this time I saw four horns.So I asked the angelic messenger who spoke with me,“ What are these?” He replied,“ These are the horns that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.”Next the LORD showed me four blacksmiths.I asked,“ What are these going to do?” He answered,“ These horns are the ones that have scattered Judah so that there is no one to be seen. But the blacksmiths have come to terrify Judah’s enemies and cut off the horns of the nations that have thrust themselves against the land of Judah in order to scatter its people.”

May the firstborn of his bull bring him honor, and may his horns be those of a wild ox; with them may he gore all peoples, all the far reaches of the earth. They are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.

But some itinerant Jewish exorcists tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were possessed by evil spirits, saying,“ I sternly warn you by Jesus whom Paul preaches.”( Now seven sons of a man named Sceva, a Jewish high priest, were doing this.)But the evil spirit replied to them,“ I know about Jesus and I am acquainted with Paul, but who are you?”Then the man who was possessed by the evil spirit jumped on them and beat them all into submission. He prevailed against them so that they fled from that house naked and wounded.

For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.Therefore it is not surprising his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will correspond to their actions.

The prophet Hananiah then took the yoke off the prophet Jeremiah’s neck and broke it.Then he spoke up in the presence of all the people.“ The LORD says,‘ In the same way I will break the yoke of servitude of all the nations to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon before two years are over.’” After he heard this, the prophet Jeremiah departed and went on his way.But shortly after the prophet Hananiah had broken the yoke off the prophet Jeremiah’s neck, the LORD spoke to Jeremiah.“ Go and tell Hananiah that the LORD says,‘ You have indeed broken the wooden yoke. But you have only succeeded in replacing it with an iron one!For the LORD God of Israel who rules over all says,“ I have put an irresistible yoke of servitude on all these nations so they will serve King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. And they will indeed serve him. I have even given him control over the wild animals.”’”

The LORD told me,“ Make a yoke out of leather straps and wooden crossbars and put it on your neck.

And just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these people– who have warped minds and are disqualified in the faith– also oppose the truth.

“ The LORD God of Israel who rules over all says,‘ I will break the yoke of servitude to the king of Babylon.Before two years are over, I will bring back to this place everything that King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon took from it and carried away to Babylon.

They continually say to those who reject what the LORD has said,‘ Things will go well for you!’ They say to all those who follow the stubborn inclinations of their own hearts,‘ Nothing bad will happen to you!’

They see delusion and their omens are a lie. They say,“ the LORD declares,” though the LORD has not sent them; yet they expect their word to be confirmed.Have you not seen a false vision and announced a lying omen when you say,“ the LORD declares,” although I myself never spoke?“‘ Therefore, this is what the sovereign LORD says: Because you have spoken false words and forecast delusion, look, I am against you, declares the sovereign LORD.My hand will be against the prophets who see delusion and announce lying omens. They will not be included in the council of my people, nor be written in the registry of the house of Israel, nor enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the sovereign LORD.

The LORD says,“ I have heard what those prophets who are prophesying lies in my name are saying. They are saying,‘ I have had a dream! I have had a dream!’

“ The LORD God of Israel who rules over all also has something to say about Ahab son of Kolaiah and Zedekiah son of Maaseiah, who are prophesying lies to you and claiming my authority to do so.‘ I will hand them over to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and he will execute them before your very eyes.

Her officials are like wolves in her midst rending their prey– shedding blood and destroying lives– so they can get dishonest profit.Her prophets coat their messages with whitewash. They see false visions and announce lying omens for them, saying,‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says,’ when the LORD has not spoken.

I, the LORD, AFFIRM that I am opposed to those prophets who are using their own tongues to declare,‘ The LORD declares….’

Her leaders take bribes when they decide legal cases, her priests proclaim rulings for profit, and her prophets read omens for pay. Yet they claim to trust the LORD and say,“ The LORD is among us. Disaster will not overtake us!”
