詰朝、大衛致書約押、付於烏利亞手以達、書曰、可置烏利亞於前茅、劇戰之處、爾眾則退、俾其被擊而死、

正月十三日、遂召王之繕寫、從哈曼所命書詔、依各州文字、各族方言、繕以御名、鈐以王之指環、普告王臣、各州方伯、各族民長、遣郵傳詔各州、使於十二月、即亞達月十三日、一日之間、將猶大人、無論老幼、嬰孩婦女、盡行殺戮翦滅、俾其隕亡、取其貨財、以為己有、所錄之詔、頒行各州、宣告各族、使之預備、以待是日、在書珊宮降詔、郵驛遵命、其行甚速、王與哈曼坐而飲、惟書珊邑、則紛擾焉、

亞哈有子七十、在撒瑪利亞、耶戶作書、寄撒瑪利亞、致耶斯列之首領即長老、及教育亞哈諸子者、曰、爾主之子偕爾、亦有車馬、器械堅城、爾接此書、可擇爾主眾子中、賢而適宜者、俾踐其父之位、而為爾主之家戰爭、彼眾懼甚、曰、二王不能禦之、我儕何能禦乎、家宰邑宰長老、及教育亞哈子者、遣人詣耶戶曰、我為爾僕、凡所命者、我必行之、我不立人為王、爾視為善者則行之、耶戶復致書曰、爾若為我、聽從我言、明日此時、攜爾主眾子之首、至耶斯列見我、時、王子七十人、與邑中顯貴教育之者偕居、書至、遂執王子七十人殺之、盛首於筐、送至耶斯列耶戶所、

西拿基立致書毀以色列之上帝耶和華、謗之曰、列邦之神、既未拯其民於我手、希西家之上帝、亦不得拯其民於我手、

在爾上帝耶和華所錫為業之地、若見有被殺者、臥於田間、不知誰殺、則爾之長老士師、必至其處、於四周之邑、度其遠近、最近之邑、其長老必取牝犢、未負軛服役者、牽至活水之谷、其地未經耕種、則於谷中折犢之頸、利未人祭司必適其所、蓋其為爾上帝耶和華所簡、以供役事、藉耶和華之名、為民祝嘏、凡諸爭競鬥毆、俱憑其言而定、離見殺者最近之邑、其長老必在谷中、盥手於折頸之犢上、曰、我手未流此血、我目亦未之見、耶和華歟、爾所贖之以色列族、求爾宥之、勿使無辜之血、歸於爾民、於是流血之罪得赦、爾行耶和華所視為正者、則流血之罪、可除於爾中、○
