Then his wife Jezebel said to him,“ Now, exercise your royal power over Israel. Get up, eat some food, and be happy. For I will give you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.”

王后耶洗别对亚哈说：“你现在是治理以色列国不是？只管起来，心里畅畅快快地吃饭，我必将耶斯列人拿伯的葡萄园给你。”

耶洗别王后对王说：“你现在是不是治理以色列国呢？只管起来，心里畅畅快快地吃饭，我会把耶斯列人拿伯的葡萄园给你。”

耶洗别说：“你忘了自己是以色列王吗？起来吃饭吧，高兴点，我必让你得到耶斯列人拿伯的葡萄园。”

他的妻子耶洗别对他说：“你现在不是统治以色列的王吗？只管起来吃饭，心神畅快，我必能把耶斯列人拿伯的葡萄园给你。”

耶洗別說：「你忘了自己是以色列王嗎？起來吃飯吧，高興點，我必讓你得到耶斯列人拿伯的葡萄園。」

他的妻子耶洗別對他說：“你現在不是統治以色列的王嗎？只管起來吃飯，心神暢快，我必能把耶斯列人拿伯的葡萄園給你。”

王后耶洗別對亞哈說：『你現在是掌王權管理以色列的不是？只管起來喫飯，讓心裏暢暢快快；我，我一定將耶斯列人拿伯的葡萄園給你。』

其后耶洗別曰、爾今治以色列國乎、其起而食、中心歡暢、我必以耶斯列人拿伯之葡萄園給爾、

耶洗別、曰爾非統轄以色列國者乎、可歡然飲食、我將以耶斯烈人拿泊之園予爾。

王后耶洗別謂之曰、今爾轄以色列國乎、不轄乎、可起、歡然以食、我將以耶斯烈人拿伯葡萄園予爾、

Jezebel his wife said,“ Is this how you act as king over Israel? Get up and eat! Cheer up. I’ll get you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.”

His wife Jezebel said,“ Is this how the king of Israel acts? Get up! Eat something! Cheer up. I’ll get you the vineyard of Naboth from Jezreel.”

And Jezebel his wife said to him,“ Do you now govern Israel? Arise and eat bread and let your heart be cheerful; I will give you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.”

“ Are you the king of Israel or not?” Jezebel demanded.“ Get up and eat something, and don’t worry about it. I’ll get you Naboth’s vineyard!”

Jezebel his wife said to him,“ Do you now reign over Israel? Arise, eat bread, and let your heart be joyful; I will give you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.”

Then Jezebel his wife said to him,“ You now exercise authority over Israel! Arise, eat food, and let your heart be cheerful; I will give you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.”

And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? arise, and eat bread, and let thy heart be merry: I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.

And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? arise,[ and] eat bread, and let thine heart be merry: I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.

His wife Jezebel said to him,“ You are the king of Israel! Get up, eat some food, and have a good time. I will get the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite for you.”

Jezebel his wife said to him,“ Do you now govern the kingdom of Israel? Arise, and eat bread, and let your heart be merry. I will give you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.”

So all the elders of Israel gathered together and went to Samuel at Ramah.

a strutting rooster; a goat; and a king at the head of his army.

and he asked Amnon,“ Why are you, the king’s son, so miserable every morning? Won’t you tell me?” Amnon replied,“ I’m in love with Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.”

For the king’s word is authoritative, and who can say to him,“ What are you doing?”

Both hands are good at accomplishing evil: the official and the judge demand a bribe; when the powerful man communicates his evil desire, they plot it together.

He can take your best fields, vineyards, and olive orchards and give them to his servants.

Again, I observed all the acts of oppression being done under the sun. Look at the tears of those who are oppressed; they have no one to comfort them. Power is with those who oppress them; they have no one to comfort them.

When Jezebel heard that Naboth had been stoned to death, she said to Ahab,“ Get up and take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite who refused to give it to you for silver, since Naboth isn’t alive, but dead.”When Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, he got up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite to take possession of it.

Woe to those who dream up wickedness and prepare evil plans on their beds! At morning light they accomplish it because the power is in their hands.They covet fields and seize them; they also take houses. They deprive a man of his home, a person of his inheritance.

Because of the greatness he gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages were terrified and fearful of him. He killed anyone he wanted and kept alive anyone he wanted; he exalted anyone he wanted and humbled anyone he wanted.But when his heart was exalted and his spirit became arrogant, he was deposed from his royal throne and his glory was taken from him.He was driven away from people, his mind was like an animal’s, he lived with the wild donkeys, he was fed grass like cattle, and his body was drenched with dew from the sky until he acknowledged that the Most High God is ruler over human kingdoms and sets anyone he wants over them.
