So Ahab entered his house sullen and furious because of the answer that Naboth the Jezreelite had given to him, since he said,“ I will not give you the inheritance of my fathers.” And he lay down on his bed and turned his face away, and ate no food.

So Ahab went home, sullen and angry because Naboth the Jezreelite had said,“ I will not give you the inheritance of my ancestors.” He lay on his bed sulking and refused to eat.

So Ahab went home. He was angry. He was in a bad mood because of what Naboth from Jezreel had said. He had told Ahab,“ I won’t give you the land my family handed down to me.” So Ahab lay on his bed. He was in a very bad mood. He wouldn’t even eat anything.

And Ahab went into his house vexed and sullen because of what Naboth the Jezreelite had said to him, for he had said,“ I will not give you the inheritance of my fathers.” And he lay down on his bed and turned away his face and would eat no food.

So Ahab went home angry and sullen because of Naboth’s answer. The king went to bed with his face to the wall and refused to eat!

So Ahab went to his palace resentful and angry because of what Naboth the Jezreelite had told him. He had said,“ I will not give you my ancestors’ inheritance.” He lay down on his bed, turned his face away, and didn’t eat any food.

So the king of Israel went to his house sullen and furious, and came to Samaria.

But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust.

but for Cain and his offering He had no regard. So Cain became very angry and his face was gloomy.Then the Lord said to Cain,“ Why are you angry? And why is your face gloomy?If you do well, will your face not be cheerful? And if you do not do well, sin is lurking at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it.”Cain talked to his brother Abel; and it happened that when they were in the field Cain rose up against his brother Abel and killed him.

and do not give the devil an opportunity.

So Balaam got up in the morning and said to Balak’s representatives,“ Go back to your land, for the Lord has refused to let me go with you.”And the representatives from Moab got up and went to Balak, and said,“ Balaam refused to come with us.”

The end of a matter is better than its beginning; Patience of spirit is better than arrogance of spirit.Do not be eager in your spirit to be angry, For anger resides in the heart of fools.

And he said to him,“ Why are you, the king’s son, so depressed morning after morning? Will you not tell me?” So Amnon said to him,“ I am in love with Tamar, the sister of my brother Absalom.”

For irritation kills the fool, And jealousy brings death to the simple.

But Naboth said to Ahab,“ The Lord forbid me that I would give you the inheritance of my fathers!”

But Amnon was so frustrated on account of his sister Tamar that he made himself ill, for she was a virgin, and it seemed too difficult to Amnon to do anything to her.

“ Woe to him who makes evil profit for his household, To put his nest on high, To be saved from the hand of catastrophe!You have planned a shameful thing for your house By bringing many peoples to an end; So you are sinning against yourself.For the stone will cry out from the wall, And the rafter will answer it from the framework.“ Woe to him who builds a city with bloodshed, And founds a town with violence!

What the eyes see is better than what the soul desires. This too is futility and striving after wind.

But God said to Jonah,“ Do you have a good reason to be angry about the plant?” And he said,“ I have good reason to be angry, even to the point of death!”

But it greatly displeased Jonah, and he became angry.

But the wicked are like the tossing sea, For it cannot be quiet, And its waters toss up refuse and mud.“ There is no peace,” says my God,“ for the wicked.”
