“ See how Ahab has humbled himself before Me? Because he has humbled himself before Me, I will not bring the calamity in his days. In the days of his son I will bring the calamity on his house.”

“你看见了亚哈在我面前怎样谦卑自己，因为他在我面前谦卑自己，所以他还在世的日子，我必不降这灾祸；到他儿子的日子，我必降这灾祸与他的家。”

『亞哈在我面前怎樣自己謙卑、你看見了麼？因為他在我面前自己謙卑，所以他在世的日子我不降這災禍；乃是到他兒子的日子我才要降這災禍於他的家。』

爾觀亞哈卑以自牧、因此、亞哈尚存之日、我不降以禍災、迨及其子相繼、乃降災於其家。

“ Have you noticed how Ahab has humbled himself before me? Because he has humbled himself, I will not bring this disaster in his day, but I will bring it on his house in the days of his son.”

“ Have you seen how Ahab has made himself humble in my sight? Because he has done that, I will not bring trouble on him while he lives. But I will bring it on his royal house when his son is king.”

“ Have you seen how Ahab has humbled himself before me? Because he has humbled himself before me, I will not bring the disaster in his days; but in his son’s days I will bring the disaster upon his house.”

“ Do you see how Ahab has humbled himself before me? Because he has done this, I will not do what I promised during his lifetime. It will happen to his sons; I will destroy his dynasty.”

“ Have you seen how Ahab has humbled himself before me? I will not bring the disaster during his lifetime, because he has humbled himself before me. I will bring the disaster on his house during his son’s lifetime.”

“ Do you see how Ahab has humbled himself before Me? Because he has humbled himself before Me, I will not bring the disaster in his days; I will bring the disaster upon his house in his son’s days.”

Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before me? because he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days; but in his son’s day will I bring the evil upon his house.

“ Have you seen how Ahab has humbled himself before Me? I will not bring the disaster during his lifetime, because he has humbled himself before Me. I will bring the disaster on his house during his son’s lifetime.”

Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before me? because he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days:[ but] in his son’s days will I bring the evil upon his house.

“ Have you noticed how Ahab shows remorse before me? Because he shows remorse before me, I will not bring disaster on his dynasty during his lifetime, but during the reign of his son.”

“ See how Ahab humbles himself before me? Because he humbles himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days; but I will bring the evil on his house in his son’s day.”

Then Jehu said to Bidkar his captain,“ Pick him up, and throw him into the tract of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite; for remember, when you and I were riding together behind Ahab his father, that the Lord laid this burden upon him:‘ Surely I saw yesterday the blood of Naboth and the blood of his sons,’ says the Lord,‘ and I will repay you in this plot,’ says the Lord. Now therefore, take and throw him on the plot of ground, according to the word of the Lord.”

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

As soon as they hear of me they obey me; The foreigners submit to me.

Say to God,“ How awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.

But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.

Who is a God like You, Pardoning iniquity And passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy.

So Moses and Aaron came in to Pharaoh and said to him,“ Thus says the Lord God of the Hebrews:‘ How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me? Let My people go, that they may serve Me.

So Jehu killed all who remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his great men and his close acquaintances and his priests, until he left him none remaining.

When He slew them, then they sought Him; And they returned and sought earnestly for God.Then they remembered that God was their rock, And the Most High God their Redeemer.Nevertheless they flattered Him with their mouth, And they lied to Him with their tongue;For their heart was not steadfast with Him, Nor were they faithful in His covenant.

Then he said,“ Throw her down.” So they threw her down, and some of her blood spattered on the wall and on the horses; and he trampled her underfoot.And when he had gone in, he ate and drank. Then he said,“ Go now, see to this accursed woman, and bury her, for she was a king’s daughter.”So they went to bury her, but they found no more of her than the skull and the feet and the palms of her hands.Therefore they came back and told him. And he said,“ This is the word of the Lord, which He spoke by His servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying,‘ On the plot of ground at Jezreel dogs shall eat the flesh of Jezebel;and the corpse of Jezebel shall be as refuse on the surface of the field, in the plot at Jezreel, so that they shall not say,“ Here lies Jezebel.”’”Now Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. And Jehu wrote and sent letters to Samaria, to the rulers of Jezreel, to the elders, and to those who reared Ahab’s sons, saying:Now as soon as this letter comes to you, since your master’s sons are with you, and you have chariots and horses, a fortified city also, and weapons,choose the best qualified of your master’s sons, set him on his father’s throne, and fight for your master’s house.But they were exceedingly afraid, and said,“ Look, two kings could not stand up to him; how then can we stand?”And he who was in charge of the house, and he who was in charge of the city, the elders also, and those who reared the sons, sent to Jehu, saying,“ We are your servants, we will do all you tell us; but we will not make anyone king. Do what is good in your sight.”Then he wrote a second letter to them, saying: If you are for me and will obey my voice, take the heads of the men, your master’s sons, and come to me at Jezreel by this time tomorrow. Now the king’s sons, seventy persons, were with the great men of the city, who were rearing them.So it was, when the letter came to them, that they took the king’s sons and slaughtered seventy persons, put their heads in baskets and sent them to him at Jezreel.

“ Therefore you, O son of man, say to the house of Israel:‘ Thus you say,“ If our transgressions and our sins lie upon us, and we pine away in them, how can we then live?”’Say to them:‘ As I live,’ says the Lord GOD,‘ I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’

Do you not see what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

Then He turned to the woman and said to Simon,“ Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has washed My feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head.
