「你看見亞哈在我面前如何痛悔了嗎？因為他在我面前痛悔，我不會在他有生之日降災，我要等他兒子執政的時候，才降災給他家。」

“亚哈在我面前这样自卑，你看见了吗？因他在我面前自卑，他还在世的时候，我不降这祸；到他儿子的时候，我必降这祸与他的家。”

“亚哈在我面前这样谦卑，你看见了吗？因为他在我面前谦卑，所以在他的日子，我不降这祸；到他儿子的时候，我必降这祸于他的家。”

“ Have you noticed how Ahab has humbled himself before me? Because he has humbled himself, I will not bring this disaster in his day, but I will bring it on his house in the days of his son.”

“ Have you seen how Ahab has made himself humble in my sight? Because he has done that, I will not bring trouble on him while he lives. But I will bring it on his royal house when his son is king.”

“ Have you seen how Ahab has humbled himself before me? Because he has humbled himself before me, I will not bring the disaster in his days; but in his son’s days I will bring the disaster upon his house.”

“ Do you see how Ahab has humbled himself before me? Because he has done this, I will not do what I promised during his lifetime. It will happen to his sons; I will destroy his dynasty.”

“ Have you seen how Ahab has humbled himself before me? I will not bring the disaster during his lifetime, because he has humbled himself before me. I will bring the disaster on his house during his son’s lifetime.”

“ Do you see how Ahab has humbled himself before Me? Because he has humbled himself before Me, I will not bring the disaster in his days; I will bring the disaster upon his house in his son’s days.”

Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before me? because he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days; but in his son’s day will I bring the evil upon his house.

“ Have you noticed how Ahab shows remorse before me? Because he shows remorse before me, I will not bring disaster on his dynasty during his lifetime, but during the reign of his son.”

耶戶對將領畢甲說：「你去把他丟在耶斯列人拿伯的田裡。還記得嗎？你我一起駕車跟隨他父親亞哈的時候，耶和華曾預言亞哈的事說，『我昨天看見拿伯和他兒子們被殺，我必使你在這塊田裡受到報應，這是耶和華說的。』現在你照耶和華的話，把他丟在這塊田裡吧。」

主的應許還未實現，有人以為祂拖延，其實祂不是拖延，而是在寬容你們。祂不願任何人滅亡，願意人人悔改。

他們望風而降，外族人對我俯首稱臣。

要對上帝說：「你的作為令人敬畏！你的大能使敵人屈膝投降。

但主啊，你是有憐憫和恩典的上帝，不輕易發怒，充滿慈愛，無比信實。

有何神明像你一樣赦免罪惡，饒恕你倖存子民的過犯？你不會永遠發怒，因為你樂於施恩。

摩西和亞倫便進宮去見法老，對他說：「希伯來人的上帝耶和華說，『你要到什麼時候才肯在我面前謙卑下來，讓我的子民離開這裡去事奉我？

耶戶殺了亞哈家留在耶斯列的親屬、大臣、朋友和祭司，一個不留。

直到上帝擊殺他們的時候，他們才回轉，誠心尋求上帝。他們才想起上帝是他們的磐石，至高的上帝是他們的救贖主。他們卻虛情假意，滿口謊言。他們不忠於祂，也不信守祂的約。

耶戶說：「把她扔下來！」那幾個太監便把耶洗別扔下去，血濺在牆壁上和馬匹身上。耶戶駕車軋過她的身體，進入王宮，大吃大喝，然後吩咐部下說：「把那受咒詛的婦人埋了，她畢竟是王的女兒。」他們出去埋葬她，卻只找到她的頭骨、手掌和腳，便回去稟告耶戶。耶戶說：「這正應驗耶和華藉祂僕人提斯比人以利亞說的話，『狗必在耶斯列的田間吃耶洗別的肉，耶洗別的屍體必像耶斯列田間的糞便，無人能認出那是耶洗別。』」亞哈在撒瑪利亞有七十個子孫。耶戶寫信給那裡的首領、長老以及亞哈子孫的監護人，說：「既然你們主人的子孫和你們在一起，你們也擁有車馬、堅城和兵器，你們接到這封信後，就可以從你們主人的子孫中選立一個最好的繼承王位，為你們主人家而戰。」他們都十分害怕，彼此商議說：「兩位王都不能抵擋他，我們怎能抵擋呢？」宮廷總管、總督、長老和眾監護人便派人送信給耶戶，說：「我們是你的僕人，你怎樣吩咐，我們就怎樣做。我們不會立任何人為王，你認為怎樣好，就怎樣辦吧。」耶戶又寫了一封信，說：「如果你們歸順我，願意聽從我，明天這個時候，帶著你們主人子孫的首級來耶斯列見我。」當時亞哈的七十個子孫都養在城中顯貴的府中。這些顯貴們接到信後，便殺了亞哈的七十個子孫，把他們的首級放在籃子裡，送到耶斯列的耶戶那裡。

「人子啊，你要對以色列人說，『你們說，我們背負過犯和罪惡，正因此而滅亡。我們怎能存活下去呢？你要告訴他們，主耶和華說，「我憑我的永恆起誓，我絕不喜歡惡人死亡，我更願意惡人改邪歸正，得以存活。以色列人啊，回頭吧！回頭吧！改邪歸正吧！何必自取滅亡呢？」』

你沒有看見他們在猶大各城和耶路撒冷街道上所做的事嗎？

還是你藐視祂深厚的慈愛、寬容和忍耐，不知道祂的慈愛是要引導你悔改嗎？

耶穌說：「你判斷得對！」隨後轉向那女人，繼續對西門說：「你看見這女人了嗎？我到你家裡來，你沒有拿水給我洗腳，這女人卻用她的眼淚洗我的腳，還親自用頭髮擦乾。
