This is what the LORD says:‘ I am about to bring disaster on you and will eradicate your descendants: I will wipe out all of Ahab’s males, both slave and free, in Israel;

耶和华说：‘我必使灾祸临到你，将你除尽。凡属你的男丁，无论困住的、自由的，都从以色列中剪除。

耶和华说：‘看哪，我必使灾祸临到你，把你除灭。以色列中凡属亚哈的男丁，无论是奴役的、自由的，我都要剪除。

耶和华说：‘看哪，我必使灾祸临到你，把你除灭。以色列中凡属亚哈的男丁，无论是奴役的、自由的，我都要剪除。

耶和华说，‘我必降祸给你，彻底毁灭你，铲除你家中所有的男子，不管是奴隶还是自由人。

耶和华说：‘看哪，我必使灾祸临到你，除灭你的后代，在以色列中属亚哈的男丁，无论是自由的，或是不自由的，我都要除灭。

耶和華說：『我必使災禍臨到你，將你除盡。凡屬你的男丁，無論困住的、自由的，都從以色列中剪除。

耶和華說，『我必降禍給你，徹底毀滅你，剷除你家中所有的男子，不管是奴隸還是自由人。

耶和華說：‘看哪，我必使災禍臨到你，除滅你的後代，在以色列中屬亞哈的男丁，無論是自由的，或是不自由的，我都要除滅。

永恆主說：「看吧，我必使災禍臨到你；必除滅你；在以色列中凡屬亞哈的男丁、無論自主不自主、我都要剪滅淨盡。

耶和華云、我必降災於爾、掃除乎爾、爾之丁男、無論被束者、自由者、悉絕之於以色列中、

耶和華必降災於爾、絶爾後裔、不遺一男、爾之子孫、在以色列族中、自主及僕、靡有孑遺。

主云、我必降災於爾、盡滅爾家、凡屬爾之男、或主或作已長大之人或僕、或作未長大之人必絕之於以色列人中、

He says,‘ I am going to bring disaster on you. I will wipe out your descendants and cut off from Ahab every last male in Israel— slave or free.

So the Lord says,‘ I am going to bring horrible trouble on you. I will destroy your children after you. I will destroy every male in Israel who is related to you. It does not matter whether they are slaves or free.

Behold, I will bring disaster upon you. I will utterly burn you up, and will cut off from Ahab every male, bond or free, in Israel.

So now the Lord says,‘ I will bring disaster on you and consume you. I will destroy every one of your male descendants, slave and free alike, anywhere in Israel!

Behold, I am bringing disaster upon you, and I will utterly sweep you away, and will eliminate from Ahab every male, both bond and free in Israel;

‘ Behold, I will bring calamity on you. I will take away your posterity, and will cut off from Ahab every male in Israel, both bond and free.

Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will utterly sweep thee away and will cut off from Ahab every man- child, and him that is shut up and him that is left at large in Israel:

This is what the Lord says:‘ I am about to bring disaster on you and will sweep away your descendants: I will eliminate all of Ahab’s males, both slave and free, in Israel;

Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel,

The LORD says,‘ Look, I am ready to bring disaster on you. I will destroy you and cut off every last male belonging to Ahab in Israel, including even the weak and incapacitated.

Behold, I will bring evil on you, and will utterly sweep you away and will cut off from Ahab everyone who urinates against a wall, and him who is shut up and him who is left at large in Israel.

Because of all this, I am about to bring disaster on the house of Jeroboam: I will wipe out all of Jeroboam’s males, both slave and free, in Israel; I will sweep away the house of Jeroboam as one sweeps away dung until it is all gone!

Since Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria, Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria to the rulers of Jezreel, to the elders, and to the guardians of Ahab’s sons, saying:Your master’s sons are with you, and you have chariots, horses, a fortified city, and weaponry, so when this letter arrivesselect the most qualified of your master’s sons, set him on his father’s throne, and fight for your master’s house.However, they were terrified and reasoned,“ Look, two kings couldn’t stand against him; how can we?”So the overseer of the palace, the overseer of the city, the elders, and the guardians sent a message to Jehu:“ We are your servants, and we will do whatever you tell us. We will not make anyone king. Do whatever you think is right.”Then Jehu wrote them a second letter, saying: If you are on my side, and if you will obey me, bring me the heads of your master’s sons at this time tomorrow at Jezreel. All seventy of the king’s sons were being cared for by the city’s prominent men.When the letter came to them, they took the king’s sons and slaughtered all seventy, put their heads in baskets, and sent them to Jehu at Jezreel.

So Jehu killed all who remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel— all his great men, close friends, and priests— leaving him no survivors.Then he set out and went to Samaria. On the way, while he was at Beth-eked of the Shepherds,Jehu met the relatives of King Ahaziah of Judah and asked,“ Who are you?” They answered,“ We’re Ahaziah’s relatives. We’ve come down to greet the king’s sons and the queen mother’s sons.”Then Jehu ordered,“ Take them alive.” So they took them alive and then slaughtered them at the pit of Beth-eked— forty-two men. He didn’t spare any of them.

For the LORD saw that the affliction of Israel was very bitter for both slaves and free people. There was no one to help Israel.

May God punish me and do so severely if I let any of his males survive until morning.”

When Jehu came to Samaria, he struck down all who remained from the house of Ahab in Samaria until he had annihilated his house, according to the word of the LORD spoken to Elijah.

Do not bow in worship to them, and do not serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, bringing the consequences of the fathers’ iniquity on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me,but showing faithful love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commands.

The LORD will indeed vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants when he sees that their strength is gone and no one is left— slave or free.

Nevertheless, the LORD said to Jehu,“ Because you have done well in carrying out what is right in my sight and have done to the house of Ahab all that was in my heart, four generations of your sons will sit on the throne of Israel.”

Otherwise, as surely as the LORD God of Israel lives, who prevented me from harming you, if you had not come quickly to meet me, Nabal wouldn’t have had any males left by morning light.”

You are to strike down the house of your master Ahab so that I may avenge the blood shed by the hand of Jezebel— the blood of my servants the prophets and of all the servants of the LORD.The whole house of Ahab will perish, and I will wipe out all of Ahab’s males, both slave and free, in Israel.I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam son of Nebat and like the house of Baasha son of Ahijah.
