Some time later there was an incident involving a vineyard belonging to Naboth the Jezreelite. The vineyard was in Jezreel, close to the palace of Ahab king of Samaria.

Some time later King Ahab wanted a certain vineyard. It belonged to Naboth from Jezreel. The vineyard was in Jezreel. It was close to the palace of Ahab, the king of Samaria.

Now Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard in Jezreel, beside the palace of Ahab king of Samaria.

霎时间，天因风云黑暗，降下大雨。亚哈就坐上车，往耶斯列去了。耶和华的手按在以利亚身上，他就束上腰，奔在亚哈前头，一路到耶斯列。

这亚哈斯王在急难的时候，越发得罪耶和华。

那时，所有的米甸人、亚玛力人和东边的人都聚集在一起，过了河，在耶斯列平原安营。

耶和华啊，你的眼目不是在寻找诚实吗？你击打他们，他们却不伤恸；你摧毁他们，他们仍不领受管教。他们使脸刚硬过于磐石，不肯回头。

非利士人聚集他们所有的军队到亚弗；以色列人在耶斯列的泉旁安营。

他们的地界是到耶斯列、基苏律、书念、

耶和华对何西阿说：“给他起名叫耶斯列；因为再过片时，我要惩罚耶户家在耶斯列流人血的罪，也必终结以色列家的王朝。到那日，我必在耶斯列平原折断以色列的弓。”

这百姓还没有归向击打他们的主，也没有寻求万军之耶和华。

有一个人是先知的门徒，遵照耶和华的话对他同伴说：“你打我吧！”那人不肯打他。他就对那人说：“你既不听从耶和华的话，看哪，你一离开我，必有狮子咬死你。”那人一离开他，果然遇见狮子，把他咬死了。先知的门徒又遇见一个人，对他说：“你打我吧！”那人就打他，把他打伤。那先知就去了，用头巾蒙眼，改了装，在路旁等候王。王从那里经过，他向王呼叫说：“仆人出战的时候，看哪，有人转过来，带了一个人到我这里来，说：‘你要看守这人，若他真的失踪了，你的性命必代替他的性命，否则，你就要交出一他连得银子来。’仆人正在到处忙碌的时候，那人就不见了。”以色列王对他说：“你自己决定了，就必照样判你。”他急忙除掉蒙眼的头巾，以色列王就认出他是一个先知。他对王说：“耶和华如此说：‘因你把我决定要消灭的人从你手中放走，所以你的命必代替他的命，你的百姓必代替他的百姓。’”于是以色列王生气，忧闷地回撒玛利亚，到自己的宫去了。

我们因自己的恶行和大罪，遭遇这一切的事，但你—我们的神惩罚我们轻于我们罪所当得的，又为我们留下这些残存之民。我们岂可再违背你的诫命，与行这些可憎之事的民族结亲呢？若我们这样行，你岂不向我们发怒，将我们灭绝，以致没有一个余民或残存之民吗？
