制造雕刻偶像的尽都虚空；他们所喜悦的都无益处；他们的见证无所看见，无所知晓，他们便觉羞愧。

耶路撒冷在困苦窘迫之时，就追想古时一切的乐境。她百姓落在敌人手中，无人救济；敌人看见，就因她的荒凉嗤笑。

不要听希西家的话！因亚述王如此说：‘你们要与我和好，出来投降我，各人就可以吃自己葡萄树和无花果树的果子，喝自己井里的水。等我来领你们到一个地方与你们本地一样，就是有五谷和新酒之地，有粮食和葡萄园之地，有橄榄树和蜂蜜之地，好使你们存活，不至于死。希西家劝导你们，说耶和华必拯救我们；你们不要听他的话。

牧人哪，你们当哀号，呼喊；群众的头目啊，你们要滚在灰中；因为你们被杀戮分散的日子足足来到。你们要跌碎，好像美器打碎一样。

大卫对迦得说：“我甚为难！我愿落在耶和华的手里，因为他有丰盛的怜悯。我不愿落在人的手里。”
