2 Kings 10 24
And they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt- offerings. Now Jehu had appointed him fourscore men without, and said, If any of the men whom I bring into your hands escape, he that letteth him go, his life shall be for the life of him.

Mark 12:1-12
And he began to speak unto them in parables. A man planted a vineyard, and set a hedge about it, and digged a pit for the winepress, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into another country.And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruits of the vineyard.And they took him, and beat him, and sent him away empty.And again he sent unto them another servant; and him they wounded in the head, and handled shamefully.And he sent another; and him they killed: and many others; beating some, and killing some.He had yet one, a beloved son: he sent him last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.And they took him, and killed him, and cast him forth out of the vineyard.What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.Have ye not read even this scripture: The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner;This was from the Lord, And it is marvellous in our eyes?And they sought to lay hold on him; and they feared the multitude; for they perceived that he spake the parable against them: and they left him, and went away.

2 Samuel 12 1-2 Samuel 12 7
And Jehovah sent Nathan unto David. And he came unto him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.The rich man had exceeding many flocks and herds;but the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own morsel, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter.And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him, but took the poor man’s lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.And David’s anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As Jehovah liveth, the man that hath done this is worthy to die:and he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;

2 Samuel 14 5-2 Samuel 14 7
And the king said unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered, Of a truth I am a widow, and my husband is dead.And thy handmaid had two sons, and they two strove together in the field, and there was none to part them, but the one smote the other, and killed him.And, behold, the whole family is risen against thy handmaid, and they say, Deliver him that smote his brother, that we may kill him for the life of his brother whom he slew, and so destroy the heir also. Thus will they quench my coal which is left, and will leave to my husband neither name nor remainder upon the face of the earth.

Judges 9:7-20
And when they told it to Jotham, he went and stood on the top of mount Gerizim, and lifted up his voice, and cried, and said unto them, Hearken unto me, ye men of Shechem, that God may hearken unto you.The trees went forth on a time to anoint a king over them; and they said unto the olive- tree, Reign thou over us.But the olive- tree said unto them, Should I leave my fatness, wherewith by me they honor God and man, and go to wave to and fro over the trees?And the trees said to the fig- tree, Come thou, and reign over us.But the fig- tree said unto them, Should I leave my sweetness, and my good fruit, and go to wave to and fro over the trees?And the trees said unto the vine, Come thou, and reign over us.And the vine said unto them, Should I leave my new wine, which cheereth God and man, and go to wave to and fro over the trees?Then said all the trees unto the bramble, Come thou, and reign over us.And the bramble said unto the trees, If in truth ye anoint me king over you, then come and take refuge in my shade; and if not, let fire come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon.Now therefore, if ye have dealt truly and uprightly, in that ye have made Abimelech king, and if ye have dealt well with Jerubbaal and his house, and have done unto him according to the deserving of his hands( for my father fought for you, and adventured his life, and delivered you out of the hand of Midian:and ye are risen up against my father’s house this day, and have slain his sons, threescore and ten persons, upon one stone, and have made Abimelech, the son of his maid- servant, king over the men of Shechem, because he is your brother);if ye then have dealt truly and uprightly with Jerubbaal and with his house this day, then rejoice ye in Abimelech, and let him also rejoice in you:but if not, let fire come out from Abimelech, and devour the men of Shechem, and the house of Millo; and let fire come out from the men of Shechem, and from the house of Millo, and devour Abimelech.

1 Peter 1 18-1 Peter 1 19
knowing that ye were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers;but with precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot, even the blood of Christ:
