By the word of the Lord one of the company of the prophets said to his companion,“ Strike me with your weapon,” but he refused.

There was a group of people called the group of the prophets. A message from the Lord came to one of their members. He said to his companion,“ Strike me down with your weapon.” But he wouldn’t do it.

And a certain man of the sons of the prophets said to his fellow at the command of the Lord,“ Strike me, please.” But the man refused to strike him.

Meanwhile, the Lord instructed one of the group of prophets to say to another man,“ Hit me!” But the man refused to hit the prophet.

One of the sons of the prophets said to his fellow prophet by the word of the LORD,“ Strike me!” But the man refused to strike him.

Now a man from the sons of the prophets said to another by the word of the Lord,“ Please strike me.” But the man refused to strike him.

Now a certain man of the sons of the prophets said to his neighbor by the word of the Lord,“ Strike me, please.” And the man refused to strike him.

And a certain man of the sons of the prophets said unto his fellow by the word of Jehovah, Smite me, I pray thee. And the man refused to smite him.

One of the sons of the prophets said to his fellow prophet by the word of the Lord,“ Strike me!” But the man refused to strike him.

And a certain man of the sons of the prophets said unto his neighbour in the word of the LORD, Smite me, I pray thee. And the man refused to smite him.

One of the members of the prophetic guild, speaking with divine authority, ordered his companion,“ Wound me!” But the man refused to wound him.

A certain man of the sons of the prophets said to his fellow by Yahweh’s word,“ Please strike me!” The man refused to strike him.

那些在離不太遠的耶利哥神言人弟子們看見他，就說：『那感動以利亞的靈真地住在以利沙身上了。』他們就來迎接他，俯伏於地拜他。

因為憑着永恆主的話我曾經受過吩咐說：「你在那裏不可喫飯，不可喝水，也不可從你去的原路上回來。」』老神言人對他說：『我也是個神言人、和你一樣；有個天使憑着永恆主的話告訴了我說：「你去叫他跟你回家，讓他喫飯喝水。」』——這都是老神言人欺騙他的。——

永恆主對我這麼說：『你要為自己作繩索和軛，掛在自己的脖子上。要藉着那些到耶路撒冷來見猶大王西底家的使臣的手、把信息送到以東王、摩押王、亞捫人的王、推羅王、西頓王那裏。

那裏有一個人回答說：『這些人的父親是誰呢？』因此有一句俗語說：『掃羅也在神言人中間麼？』

你要拿個鐵盤，放在你和城之間，作為鐵牆；將你的臉屹然不動地向着它，使城被圍困，而你堅持圍攻它。這要做以色列家的兆頭。

以利沙又來到吉甲；那地正鬧饑荒；神言人弟子們坐在他面前；他吩咐僮僕說：『你將大鍋放在火上，給神言人弟子們煮豆湯。』

那時有一個神人憑着永恆主的話從猶大來到伯特利；耶羅波安正站在祭壇旁要燻祭；神人憑着永恆主的話攻擊那祭壇而喊叫、說：『壇哪，壇哪，永恆主這麼說：「大衛王室必生個兒子、名叫約西亞；他必將邱壇的祭司、就是在你上面燻祭的、宰殺在你上面；人必將人的骨頭燒在你上面。」』

看哪，我和永恆主所賜給我的孩子在以色列中都作為豫兆和兆頭，都是由住在錫安山的萬軍之永恆主所豫定的。

在伯特利的神言人弟子們出來見以利沙，對他說：『永恆主今天要將你老師接去、使你沒有首領，你知道不知道？』他說：『我知道；你們可別作聲。』以利亞對以利沙說：『以利沙，永恆主差遣我到耶利哥去；你請在這裏等候着。』以利沙說：『我指着永活的永恆主、也指着你自己的性命、來起誓，我一定不離開你。』二人就到耶利哥去。住耶利哥的神言人弟子們走近以利沙身邊，對他說：『永恆主今天要將你老師接去、使你沒有首領，你知道不知道？』他說：『我知道；你們可別作聲。』以利亞對以利沙說：『永恆主差遣我到約但河去；你請在這裏等候着。』以利沙說：『我指着永活的永恆主、也指着你自己的性命、來起誓，我一定不離開你。』二人仍往前行。神言人弟子們之中有五十人也去；遠遠地站在他們對面；二人在約但河邊站着。

那時候以前，永恆主由亞摩斯的兒子以賽亞經手講話說：『你去解掉你腰間的麻布，脫下你腳上的鞋；』以賽亞就這樣作，裸體赤腳而走——永恆主說：『我的僕人以賽亞怎樣裸體赤腳而走三年，作為責罰埃及和古實的豫兆和兆頭，

神言人弟子們的妻子中間有一個人向以利沙哀求說：『你僕人我丈夫死了；你知道你僕人是敬畏永恆主的；現在有債主來，要取我的兩個孩子去做奴僕。』

於是耶穌對門徒說：『人若想要跟着我，就當棄絕自己，拿起他的十字架來跟從我。

阿摩司回答亞瑪謝說：『我不是神言人，也不是神言人的弟子；我乃是牧夫，又是整理無花果桑樹的；

神言人的弟子又遇見另一個人，就說：『你打我吧。』那人就打他，將他擊傷。那神言人就去，用頭巾蒙着眼來化裝，在路旁等着王。
