王又對示每說：『你自己知道你對我父親大衛所行過的一切壞事、你心裏知道永恆主必使你作的壞事都歸到你自己頭上。

又曰、昔爾行於我父大衛之惡、爾心所存、爾悉知之、今耶和華必使爾惡、歸於爾首、

又曰、昔爾以惡待我父大闢、爾心所知、今耶和華必因是惡而報施焉。

王又謂示每曰、昔爾以惡待我父大衛、爾心所知、今主因爾此惡、使罪歸於爾首、

The king also said to Shimei,“ You know in your heart all the wrong you did to my father David. Now the Lord will repay you for your wrongdoing.

The king continued,“ You know all the wrong things you did to my father David. In your heart you know them. Now the Lord will pay you back for what you did.

The king also said to Shimei,“ You know in your own heart all the harm that you did to David my father. So the Lord will bring back your harm on your own head.

The king also said to Shimei,“ You certainly remember all the wicked things you did to my father, David. May the Lord now bring that evil on your own head.

The king also said,“ You yourself know all the evil that you did to my father David. Therefore, the LORD has brought back your evil on your head,

The king also said to Shimei,“ You yourself know all the evil that you acknowledge in your heart, which you did to my father David; therefore the Lord will return your evil on your own head.

The king said moreover to Shimei,“ You know, as your heart acknowledges, all the wickedness that you did to my father David; therefore the Lord will return your wickedness on your own head.

The king said moreover to Shimei, Thou knowest all the wickedness which thy heart is privy to, that thou didst to David my father: therefore Jehovah shall return thy wickedness upon thine own head.

The king also said,“ You yourself know all the evil that you did to my father David. Therefore, the Lord has brought back your evil on your head,

Then the king said to Shimei,“ You are well aware of the way you mistreated my father David. The LORD will punish you for what you did.

大衛王來到巴戶琳，看哪，從那裡出來一個掃羅家族的人，名叫示每，是基拉的兒子。他一邊出來，一邊咒罵，又向大衛王和王的所有臣僕扔石頭；那時所有軍兵和勇士都在王的左右。示每這樣咒罵說：「滾出去，滾出去！你這殺人流血的人，你這卑劣的人！你流了掃羅家的血，接替他作王，耶和華現在把這血債全報應在你身上了，耶和華已經把王權交在你兒子押沙龍手中了。看哪，你自取其禍，因為你是個殺人流血的人。」洗魯雅的兒子亞比篩對王說：「為什麼讓這條死狗咒罵我主我王呢？請讓我過去，把他的頭砍下來！」王說：「洗魯雅的兒子們，我與你們有什麼關係呢？如果他這樣咒罵是因為耶和華吩咐他『你要詛咒大衛』，那麼誰能說『你為什麼這樣做呢？』」大衛對亞比篩和所有的臣僕說：「看哪，我親生的兒子尚且尋索我的性命，更何況這便雅憫的子孫呢！由他吧，讓他咒罵！因為是耶和華吩咐了他。或許耶和華看見我的苦難，就以恩惠回報我，替代今天這人的咒罵。」大衛和他的部下繼續趕路，示每也沿著大衛對面的山坡隨行，一邊走一邊咒罵，從對面向他扔石頭、揚塵土。

他的禍患將歸到自己的頭上，他的殘暴將落在自己的頭頂。

大衛聽說納巴爾死了，就說：「耶和華是當受頌讚的！他為我伸了冤，除去了納巴爾加給我的羞辱，也攔阻了僕人行惡；耶和華使納巴爾的惡歸到他自己頭上。」大衛派人去對婭比蓋說，要娶她為妻。

他們聽了這話，從年長的開始，一個接一個地走開了。最後，只剩下耶穌和那站在中間的婦人。

就算我們的心責備自己，我們在神面前也可以安心，因為神比我們的心更大，並且他知道一切。

這就顯出律法的要求刻在他們的心裡，他們的良心也一同作證，而且自己的心思之間，互相控告或辯解。

惡人被自己的罪孽捉住，被自己罪的繩索捆綁；
