Why then hast thou not kept the oath of Jehovah, and the commandment that I have charged thee with?

爾何不守指耶和華所誓、及我戒爾之命乎、

何爾不守所誓、不遵我命乎。

爾何不守指主所發之誓、不遵我諭爾之命耶、

Why then did you not keep your oath to the Lord and obey the command I gave you?”

So why didn’t you keep your promise to the Lord? Why didn’t you obey the command I gave you?”

Why then have you not kept your oath to the Lord and the commandment with which I commanded you?”

Then why haven’t you kept your oath to the Lord and obeyed my command?”

Why then hast thou not kept the oath of the LORD, and the commandment that I have charged thee with?

Why then have you broken the oath you made before the LORD and disobeyed the order I gave you?”

Why then have you not kept the oath of Yahweh, and the commandment that I have instructed you with?”

Wherefore ye must needs be in subjection, not only because of the wrath, but also for conscience’ sake.

And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them( now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal for the children of Israel and Judah);

I counsel thee, Keep the king’s command, and that in regard of the oath of God.

For he hath despised the oath by breaking the covenant; and behold, he had given his hand, and yet hath done all these things; he shall not escape.Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: As I live, surely mine oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, I will even bring it upon his own head.
