and so that the Lord will carry out His promise that He made to me:‘ If your sons are careful to walk faithfully before Me with their whole mind and heart, you will never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.’

耶和华必成就向我所应许的话说：‘你的子孙若谨慎自己的行为，尽心尽意诚诚实实地行在我面前，就不断人坐以色列的国位。’

耶和华必成就他所说关于我的话，说：‘你的子孙若谨慎自己的行为，尽心尽意凭信实行在我面前，就不断有人坐以色列的王位。’

致耶和華應其指我所言曰、若爾子孫、慎其道途、一心一意行於我前、真實無妄、則爾必不乏人、踐以色列國位、

昔耶和華有應許、若我子孫所為謹恪、一心一意行於其前、真實毋妄、則不絶我嗣、踐以色列國位。如爾恪守斯命、則其前言必不食也。

主亦必踐向我所應許之言、主曾應許我曰、如爾子孫謹慎其道、盡心盡意、誠實無妄、行於我前、則將繼爾坐以色列國位、永遠不絕、

and that the Lord may keep his promise to me:‘ If your descendants watch how they live, and if they walk faithfully before me with all their heart and soul, you will never fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel.’

The Lord will keep the promise he made to me. He said,‘ Your sons must be careful about how they live. They must be faithful to me with all their heart and soul. Then you will always have a son from your family line to sit on the throne of Israel.’

that the Lord may establish his word that he spoke concerning me, saying,‘ If your sons pay close attention to their way, to walk before me in faithfulness with all their heart and with all their soul, you shall not lack a man on the throne of Israel.’

If you do this, then the Lord will keep the promise he made to me. He told me,‘ If your descendants live as they should and follow me faithfully with all their heart and soul, one of them will always sit on the throne of Israel.’

and so that the LORD will fulfill his promise that he made to me:‘ If your sons take care to walk faithfully before me with all their heart and all their soul, you will never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.’

so that the Lord may fulfill His promise which He spoke regarding me, saying,‘ If your sons are careful about their way, to walk before Me in truth with all their heart and all their soul, you shall not be deprived of a man to occupy the throne of Israel.’

that the Lord may fulfill His word which He spoke concerning me, saying,‘ If your sons take heed to their way, to walk before Me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul,’ He said,‘ you shall not lack a man on the throne of Israel.’

that Jehovah may establish his word which he spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee( said he) a man on the throne of Israel.

That the LORD may continue his word which he spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee( said he) a man on the throne of Israel.

and the LORD will fulfill his promise to me,‘ If your descendants watch their step and live faithfully in my presence with all their heart and being, then,’ he promised,‘ you will not fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel.’

Then Yahweh may establish his word which he spoke concerning me, saying,‘ If your children are careful of their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail you,’ he said,‘ a man on the throne of Israel.’

Therefore, Lord God of Israel, keep what You promised to Your servant, my father David: You will never fail to have a man to sit before Me on the throne of Israel, if only your sons guard their walk before Me as you have walked before Me.

“ Please Lord, remember how I have walked before You faithfully and wholeheartedly and have done what pleases You.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

Now, Lord God, fulfill the promise forever that You have made to Your servant and his house. Do as You have promised,

“ If you carefully obey my commands I am giving you today, to love the Lord your God and worship Him with all your heart and all your soul,

Both were righteous in God’s sight, living without blame according to all the commands and requirements of the Lord.

Now the Lord was with Jehoshaphat because he walked in the former ways of his father David. He did not seek the Baals

Before him there was no king like him who turned to the Lord with all his mind and with all his heart and with all his strength according to all the law of Moses, and no one like him arose after him.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

He said to him,“ Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.

For evildoers will be destroyed, but those who put their hope in the Lord will inherit the land.

“ As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands the intention of every thought. If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.

When your time comes to be with your fathers, I will raise up after you your descendant, who is one of your own sons, and I will establish his kingdom.He will build a house for Me, and I will establish his throne forever.I will be a father to him, and he will be a son to Me. I will not take away My faithful love from him as I took it from the one who was before you.I will appoint him over My house and My kingdom forever, and his throne will be established forever.’”Nathan reported all these words and this entire vision to David.

ever since the day I ordered judges to be over My people Israel. I will give you rest from all your enemies.“‘ The Lord declares to you: The Lord Himself will make a house for you.When your time comes and you rest with your fathers, I will raise up after you your descendant, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom.He will build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.I will be a father to him, and he will be a son to Me. When he does wrong, I will discipline him with a human rod and with blows from others.But My faithful love will never leave him as I removed it from Saul; I removed him from your way.Your house and kingdom will endure before Me forever, and your throne will be established forever.’”

If you walk in My ways and keep My statutes and commands just as your father David did, I will give you a long life.”

“ If you listen to and are careful to keep these ordinances, the Lord your God will keep His covenant loyalty with you, as He swore to your fathers.

I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever, as I promised your father David: You will never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.

“ As the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you. Remain in My love.If you keep My commands you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commands and remain in His love.

I will establish his line forever, his throne as long as heaven lasts.If his sons forsake My instruction and do not live by My ordinances,if they dishonor My statutes and do not keep My commands,then I will call their rebellion to account with the rod, their sin with blows.But I will not withdraw My faithful love from him or betray My faithfulness.I will not violate My covenant or change what My lips have said.Once and for all I have sworn an oath by My holiness; I will not lie to David.His offspring will continue forever, his throne like the sun before Me,like the moon, established forever, a faithful witness in the sky.” Selah

I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem for battle. The city will be captured, the houses looted, and the women raped. Half the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be removed from the city.

“ If you follow My statutes and faithfully observe My commands,

But a son will be born to you; he will be a man of rest. I will give him rest from all his surrounding enemies, for his name will be Solomon, and I will give peace and quiet to Israel during his reign.He is the one who will build a house for My name. He will be My son, and I will be his father. I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.’“ Now, my son, may the Lord be with you, and may you succeed in building the house of the Lord your God, as He said about you.

And out of all my sons— for the Lord has given me many sons— He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the Lord’s kingdom over Israel.He said to me,‘ Your son Solomon is the one who is to build My house and My courts, for I have chosen him to be My son, and I will be his father.I will establish his kingdom forever if he perseveres in keeping My commands and My ordinances as he is today.’

For I have chosen him so that he will command his children and his house after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just. This is how the Lord will fulfill to Abraham what He promised him.”

Solomon loved the Lord by walking in the statutes of his father David, but he also sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.

When Abram was 99 years old, the Lord appeared to him, saying,“ I am God Almighty. Live in My presence and be blameless.

“ And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you except to fear the Lord your God by walking in all His ways, to love Him, and to worship the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul?

Next, the king stood by the pillar and made a covenant in the presence of the Lord to follow the Lord and to keep His commands, His decrees, and His statutes with all his mind and with all his heart, and to carry out the words of this covenant that were written in this book; all the people agreed to the covenant.

But you, dear friends, as you build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit,keep yourselves in the love of God, expecting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life.

He said: Lord God of Israel, there is no God like You in heaven above or on earth below, keeping the gracious covenant with Your servants who walk before You with their whole heart.

The Lord swore an oath to David, a promise He will not abandon:“ I will set one of your descendants on your throne.If your sons keep My covenant and My decrees that I will teach them, their sons will also sit on your throne forever.”

Those who are blessed by Him will inherit the land, but those cursed by Him will be destroyed.

Now to Him who is able to protect you from stumbling and to make you stand in the presence of His glory, blameless and with great joy,
