在你这里有巴户琳的便雅悯人，基拉的儿子示每；我往玛哈念去的那日，他用狠毒的言语咒骂我，后来却下约旦河迎接我，我就指着耶和华向他起誓说：‘我必不用刀杀你。’现在你不要以他为无罪。你是聪明人，必知道怎样待他，使他白头见杀，流血下到阴间。”

智慧的王簸散恶人，用碌碡滚轧他们。

大卫王到了巴户琳，见有一个人出来，是扫罗族基拉的儿子，名叫示每。他一面走一面咒骂，又拿石头砍大卫王和王的臣仆；众民和勇士都在王的左右。示每咒骂说：“你这流人血的坏人哪，去吧去吧！你流扫罗全家的血，接续他作王；耶和华把这罪归在你身上，将这国交给你儿子押沙龙。现在你自取其祸，因为你是流人血的人。”洗鲁雅的儿子亚比筛对王说：“这死狗岂可咒骂我主我王呢？求你容我过去，割下他的头来。”

押沙龙住在耶路撒冷足有二年，没有见王的面。

王说：“使他回自己家里去，不要见我的面。”押沙龙就回自己家里去，没有见王的面。

王坐在审判的位上，以眼目驱散诸恶。
