May the guilt of their blood rest on the head of Joab and his descendants forever. But on David and his descendants, his house and his throne, may there be the Lord’s peace forever.”

May Joab and his children after him be held forever accountable for spilling the blood of Abner and Amasa. But may David and his children after him enjoy the Lord’ s peace and rest forever. May the Lord also give his peace to David’s royal house and kingdom forever.”

So shall their blood come back on the head of Joab and on the head of his descendants forever. But for David and for his descendants and for his house and for his throne there shall be peace from the Lord forevermore.”

The responsibility for their deaths will come back to Joab and to his descendants forever, but for David, his descendants, his dynasty, and his throne, there will be peace from the LORD forever.”

And Jehovah will return his blood upon his own head, because he fell upon two men more righteous and better than he, and slew them with the sword, and my father David knew it not, to wit, Abner the son of Ner, captain of the host of Israel, and Amasa the son of Jether, captain of the host of Judah.

Take away the wicked from before the king, And his throne shall be established in righteousness.

His seed also will I make to endure for ever, And his throne as the days of heaven.

If thy children will keep my covenant And my testimony that I shall teach them, Their children also shall sit upon thy throne for evermore.

And behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men in whom he is well pleased.

Set thou a wicked man over him; And let an adversary stand at his right hand.When he is judged, let him come forth guilty; And let his prayer be turned into sin.Let his days be few; And let another take his office.Let his children be fatherless, And his wife a widow.Let his children be vagabonds, and beg; And let them seek their bread out of their desolate places.Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; And let strangers make spoil of his labor.Let there be none to extend kindness unto him; Neither let there be any to have pity on his fatherless children.Let his posterity be cut off; In the generation following let their name be blotted out.Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with Jehovah; And let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.Let them be before Jehovah continually, That he may cut off the memory of them from the earth;

And afterward, when David heard it, he said, I and my kingdom are guiltless before Jehovah for ever of the blood of Abner the son of Ner:let it fall upon the head of Joab, and upon all his father’s house; and let there not fail from the house of Joab one that hath an issue, or that is a leper, or that leaneth on a staff, or that falleth by the sword, or that lacketh bread.

The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.

His seed shall endure for ever, And his throne as the sun before me.It shall be established for ever as the moon, And as the faithful witness in the sky.[ Selah

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of Jehovah of hosts will perform this.

And there shall come forth a shoot out of the stock of Jesse, and a branch out of his roots shall bear fruit.And the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah.And his delight shall be in the fear of Jehovah; and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither decide after the hearing of his ears;but with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.And righteousness shall be the girdle of his waist, and faithfulness the girdle of his loins.And the wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder’s den.They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea.

Morning by morning will I destroy all the wicked of the land; To cut off all the workers of iniquity from the city of Jehovah.
