To Abiathar the priest the king said,“ Go to Anathoth, to your own fields; for you are worthy of death. But I will not at this time put you to death, because you bore the Lord Yahweh’s ark before David my father, and because you were afflicted in all in which my father was afflicted.”

王对祭司亚比亚他说：“你回亚拿突归自己的田地去吧！你本是该死的，但因你在我父亲大卫面前抬过主耶和华的约柜，又与我父亲同受一切苦难，所以我今日不将你杀死。”

王对亚比亚他祭司说：“你回亚拿突归自己的田地去吧！你本是该死的，但因你在我父亲大卫面前抬过主耶和华的约柜，又与我父亲同受一切苦难，所以我今日不杀死你。”

王对亚比亚他祭司说：“你回亚拿突归自己的田地去吧！你本是该死的，但因你在我父亲大卫面前抬过主耶和华的约柜，又与我父亲同受一切苦难，所以我今日不杀死你。”

王对亚比亚他祭司说：“你回亚拿突的老家去吧。你本是该死的，但我念你在我父大卫面前抬过主耶和华的约柜，曾经与我父亲患难与共，才饶你一命。”

王对亚比亚他祭司说：“你回亚拿突自己的田地去吧！你本来是该死的，但我今天不杀死你，因为你在我父亲大卫面前抬过主耶和华的约柜，又与我父亲同受一切苦难。”

王對祭司亞比亞他說：「你回亞拿突歸自己的田地去吧！你本是該死的，但因你在我父親大衛面前擡過主耶和華的約櫃，又與我父親同受一切苦難，所以我今日不將你殺死。」

王對亞比亞他祭司說：「你回亞拿突歸自己的田地去吧！你本是該死的，但因你在我父親大衛面前抬過主耶和華的約櫃，又與我父親同受一切苦難，所以我今日不殺死你。」

王對亞比亞他祭司說：「你回亞拿突歸自己的田地去吧！你本是該死的，但因你在我父親大衛面前抬過主耶和華的約櫃，又與我父親同受一切苦難，所以我今日不殺死你。」

王對亞比亞他祭司說：「你回亞拿突的老家去吧。你本是該死的，但我念你在我父大衛面前抬過主耶和華的約櫃，曾經與我父親患難與共，才饒你一命。」

王對亞比亞他祭司說：“你回亞拿突自己的田地去吧！你本來是該死的，但我今天不殺死你，因為你在我父親大衛面前抬過主耶和華的約櫃，又與我父親同受一切苦難。”

王也對祭司亞比亞他說：『你往亞拿突、到你自己的田地去吧；你本是該死的人。但今天我不將你殺死，因為你在我父親大衛面前帶過神諭像，又在我父親所受的一切苦難中同受過苦難。』

王謂祭司亞比亞他曰、歸亞拿突、返爾田畝、爾原當死、惟爾在我父大衛前、舁主耶和華之匱、又與我父共苦、此時我不殺爾、

王告祭司亞庇亞塔曰、昔爾舁耶和華上帝之匱、在我父大闢前、恆與我父同憂、今雖當死、我不於此時殺爾、盍歸故土亞拿突。

王謂祭司亞比亞他曰、爾可往亞拿突歸爾田、爾罪當死、因爾昔舁主天主之匱在我父大衛前、恆與我父同受苦難、故我今日不殺爾、

To Abiathar the priest the king said,“ Go back to your fields in Anathoth. You deserve to die, but I will not put you to death now, because you carried the ark of the Sovereign Lord before my father David and shared all my father’s hardships.”

The king spoke to Abiathar the priest. He said,“ Go back to your fields in Anathoth. You should really be put to death. But I won’t have it done now. That’s because you carried the ark of the Lord and King. You did it for my father David. You shared all of his hard times.”

And to Abiathar the priest the king said,“ Go to Anathoth, to your estate, for you deserve death. But I will not at this time put you to death, because you carried the ark of the Lord God before David my father, and because you shared in all my father’s affliction.”

Then the king said to Abiathar the priest,“ Go back to your home in Anathoth. You deserve to die, but I will not kill you now, because you carried the Ark of the Sovereign Lord for David my father and you shared all his hardships.”

The king said to the priest Abiathar,“ Go to your fields in Anathoth. Even though you deserve to die, I will not put you to death today, since you carried the ark of the Lord GOD in the presence of my father David and you suffered through all that my father suffered.”

Then to Abiathar the priest the king said,“ Go to Anathoth to your own field, for you deserve to die; but I will not put you to death at this time, because you carried the ark of the Lord God before my father David, and because you were afflicted in everything with which my father was afflicted.”

And to Abiathar the priest the king said,“ Go to Anathoth, to your own fields, for you are deserving of death; but I will not put you to death at this time, because you carried the ark of the Lord GOD before my father David, and because you were afflicted every time my father was afflicted.”

And unto Abiathar the priest said the king, Get thee to Anathoth, unto thine own fields; for thou art worthy of death: but I will not at this time put thee to death, because thou barest the ark of the Lord Jehovah before David my father, and because thou wast afflicted in all wherein my father was afflicted.

The king said to Abiathar the priest,“ Go to your fields in Anathoth. Even though you deserve to die, I will not put you to death today, since you carried the ark of the Lord God in the presence of my father David and you suffered through all that my father suffered.”

And unto Abiathar the priest said the king, Get thee to Anathoth, unto thine own fields; for thou[ art] worthy of death: but I will not at this time put thee to death, because thou barest the ark of the Lord GOD before David my father, and because thou hast been afflicted in all wherein my father was afflicted.

The king then told Abiathar the priest,“ Go back to your property in Anathoth. You deserve to die, but today I will not kill you because you did carry the ark of the sovereign LORD before my father David and you suffered with my father through all his difficult times.”

Anathoth with its pasture lands, and Almon with its pasture lands: four cities.

One of the sons of Ahimelech, the son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped, and fled after David.Abiathar told David that Saul had slain Yahweh’s priests.David said to Abiathar,“ I knew on that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul. I am responsible for the death of all the persons of your father’s house.Stay with me. Don’t be afraid, for he who seeks my life seeks your life. For you will be safe with me.”

Whoever gives one of these little ones just a cup of cold water to drink in the name of a disciple, most certainly I tell you he will in no way lose his reward.”

The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, one of the priests who were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin.

Behold, Zadok also came, and all the Levites with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God; and they set down God’s ark; and Abiathar went up, until all the people finished passing out of the city.The king said to Zadok,“ Carry God’s ark back into the city. If I find favor in Yahweh’s eyes, he will bring me again, and show me both it, and his habitation;but if he says,‘ I have no delight in you;’ behold, here I am. Let him do to me as seems good to him.”The king said also to Zadok the priest,“ Aren’t you a seer? Return into the city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz your son, and Jonathan the son of Abiathar.Behold, I will stay at the fords of the wilderness, until word comes from you to inform me.”Zadok therefore and Abiathar carried God’s ark to Jerusalem again; and they stayed there.

This thing isn’t good that you have done. As Yahweh lives, you are worthy to die, because you have not kept watch over your lord, Yahweh’s anointed. Now see where the king’s spear is, and the jar of water that was at his head.”

Cry aloud with your voice, daughter of Gallim! Listen, Laishah! You poor Anathoth!

David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab,and said to them,“ You are the heads of the fathers’ households of the Levites. Sanctify yourselves, both you and your brothers, that you may bring the ark of Yahweh, the God of Israel, up to the place that I have prepared for it.

He conferred with Joab the son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar the priest; and they followed Adonijah and helped him.

But you are those who have continued with me in my trials.

For he has gone down today, and has slain cattle, fatlings, and sheep in abundance, and has called all the king’s sons, the captains of the army, and Abiathar the priest. Behold, they are eating and drinking before him, and saying,‘ Long live king Adonijah!’

Did you suffer so many things in vain, if it is indeed in vain?

David’s anger burned hot against the man, and he said to Nathan,“ As Yahweh lives, the man who has done this deserves to die!

When Abiathar the son of Ahimelech fled to David to Keilah, he came down with an ephod in his hand.Saul was told that David had come to Keilah. Saul said,“ God has delivered him into my hand; for he is shut in by entering into a town that has gates and bars.”Saul summoned all the people to war, to go down to Keilah, to besiege David and his men.David knew that Saul was devising mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest,“ Bring the ephod here.”

The king put Benaiah the son of Jehoiada in his place over the army; and the king put Zadok the priest in the place of Abiathar.
