The Lord has confirmed me and placed me on the throne of my father, David; he has established my dynasty as he promised. So as surely as the Lord lives, Adonijah will die this very day!”

耶和华坚立我，使我坐在父亲大卫的位上，照着所应许的话为我建立家室；现在我指着永生的耶和华起誓，亚多尼雅今日必被治死。”

耶和华坚立我，使我坐在父亲大卫的王位上，照着他所应许的为我建立家室；现在我指着永生的耶和华起誓，亚多尼雅今日必被处死。”

耶和华坚立我，使我坐在父亲大卫的王位上，照着他所应许的为我建立家室；现在我指着永生的耶和华起誓，亚多尼雅今日必被处死。”

耶和华让我稳稳地坐在父亲大卫的宝座上，照祂的应许为我建立了王朝，我凭永活的耶和华起誓，亚多尼雅今天必被处死。”

现在，我指着永活的耶和华─那位坚立了我，使我坐在我父亲大卫的王位上，又照他所应许，为我建立家室的─起誓，今天亚多尼雅必被处死！”

耶和華堅立我，使我坐在父親大衛的位上，照着所應許的話為我建立家室；現在我指着永生的耶和華起誓，亞多尼雅今日必被治死。」

耶和華堅立我，使我坐在父親大衛的王位上，照着他所應許的為我建立家室；現在我指着永生的耶和華起誓，亞多尼雅今日必被處死。」

耶和華堅立我，使我坐在父親大衛的王位上，照着他所應許的為我建立家室；現在我指着永生的耶和華起誓，亞多尼雅今日必被處死。」

耶和華讓我穩穩地坐在父親大衛的寶座上，照祂的應許為我建立了王朝，我憑永活的耶和華起誓，亞多尼雅今天必被處死。」

現在，我指著永活的耶和華─那位堅立了我，使我坐在我父親大衛的王位上，又照他所應許，為我建立家室的─起誓，今天亞多尼雅必被處死！”

永恆主堅立了我，使我坐我父親大衛的王位，照所應許的話為我建立了王室；現在我指着永活的永恆主來起誓；就在今天、亞多尼雅就必須被處死。』

維生之耶和華堅立我、使踐我父大衛之位、依其所許、為我建立家室、我指之而誓、亞多尼雅、今日必致之死、

耶和華既踐其前言、使我繼父大闢之位、以國祚賜我、我指之而誓、亞多尼雅見戮、必於今日。

永生之主堅立我、使登我父大衛之位、又循其所許之言、為我成立家業、我指之而誓、亞多尼雅今日必死、

And now, as surely as the Lord lives— he who has established me securely on the throne of my father David and has founded a dynasty for me as he promised— Adonijah shall be put to death today!”

The Lord has made my position as king secure. I’m sitting on the throne of my father David. The Lord has built a royal house for me, just as he promised. You can be sure that the Lord lives. And you can be just as sure that Adonijah will be put to death today.”

Now therefore as the Lord lives, who has established me and placed me on the throne of David my father, and who has made me a house, as he promised, Adonijah shall be put to death today.”

And now, as the LORD lives— the one who established me, seated me on the throne of my father David, and made me a dynasty as he promised— I swear Adonijah will be put to death today!”

Now then, as the Lord lives, who has established me and set me on the throne of David my father, and has made me a house just as He promised, Adonijah certainly shall be put to death today!”

Now therefore, as the Lord lives, who has confirmed me and set me on the throne of David my father, and who has established a house for me, as He promised, Adonijah shall be put to death today!”

Now therefore as Jehovah liveth, who hath established me, and set me on the throne of David my father, and who hath made me a house, as he promised, surely Adonijah shall be put to death this day.

And now, as the Lord lives, the One who established me, seated me on the throne of my father David, and made me a dynasty as He promised— I swear Adonijah will be put to death today!”

Now therefore,[ as] the LORD liveth, which hath established me, and set me on the throne of David my father, and who hath made me an house, as he promised, Adonijah shall be put to death this day.

Now, as certainly as the LORD lives( he who made me secure, allowed me to sit on my father David’s throne, and established a dynasty for me as he promised), Adonijah will be executed today!”

Now therefore as Yahweh lives, who has established me, and set me on my father David’s throne, and who has made me a house as he promised, surely Adonijah shall be put to death today.”

He is the one who will build a Temple to honor my name. He will be my son, and I will be his father. And I will secure the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.’

Please forgive me if I have offended you in any way. The Lord will surely reward you with a lasting dynasty, for you are fighting the Lord’s battles. And you have not done wrong throughout your entire life.

starting from the time I appointed judges to rule my people Israel. And I will give you rest from all your enemies.“‘ Furthermore, the Lord declares that he will make a house for you— a dynasty of kings!For when you die and are buried with your ancestors, I will raise up one of your descendants, your own offspring, and I will make his kingdom strong.He is the one who will build a house— a temple— for my name. And I will secure his royal throne forever.

“ And now, O Lord, I am your servant; do as you have promised concerning me and my family. May it be a promise that will last forever.

Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good.

“ O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, God of Israel, I have been bold enough to pray this prayer to you because you have revealed all this to your servant, saying,‘ I will build a house for you— a dynasty of kings!’

starting from the time I appointed judges to rule my people Israel. And I will defeat all your enemies.“‘ Furthermore, I declare that the Lord will build a house for you— a dynasty of kings!

Solomon replied,“ If he proves himself to be loyal, not a hair on his head will be touched. But if he makes trouble, he will die.”

And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.

So Solomon took the throne of the Lord in place of his father, David, and he succeeded in everything, and all Israel obeyed him.

And the king repeated his vow:“ As surely as the Lord lives, who has rescued me from every danger,

Solomon replied,“ You showed great and faithful love to your servant my father, David, because he was honest and true and faithful to you. And you have continued to show this great and faithful love to him today by giving him a son to sit on his throne.“ Now, O Lord my God, you have made me king instead of my father, David, but I am like a little child who doesn’t know his way around.

Praise the Lord your God, who delights in you and has placed you on the throne of Israel. Because of the Lord’s eternal love for Israel, he has made you king so you can rule with justice and righteousness.”

And now, O God, in addition to everything else, you speak of giving your servant a lasting dynasty! You speak as though I were someone very great, O Lord God!

Solomon replied to God,“ You showed great and faithful love to David, my father, and now you have made me king in his place.O Lord God, please continue to keep your promise to David my father, for you have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth!

When a crime is not punished quickly, people feel it is safe to do wrong.But even though a person sins a hundred times and still lives a long time, I know that those who fear God will be better off.The wicked will not prosper, for they do not fear God. Their days will never grow long like the evening shadows.
